The Krueckenkreuz Symbol



We know that there is a direct connection between the fyrfot and the hammer of Thunor. This connection is further intensified when we we reflect on the lesser known symbol of the Krueckenkreuz or crutch cross. This symbol can be traced back to neolithic times as a petroglyph. Walther Blachetta in Das Buch Der Deutschen Sinnzeichen [1941] regarding this symbol states:


"Vier Taukreuze, also vier Haemmer Thors, find zum Rechtkreuz vereinigt."

"Four Tau crosses, thus four Thor`s Hammers, joined together as a law cross."[Wotans Krieger`s translation].

Blachetta`s use of the term Rechtkreuz is a reference to the concept of the Holy Vehm as revealed by Guido von List. This Armanist symbol was popularised in the early 20th century by Joerg Lanz von Liebenfels as the symbol of his  Aryan Ordo Novi Templi [Order of the New Templars] from 1907 onwards.

The symbol of four Thunor`s hammers forming a cross may be found on Alemannic broaches during the Voelkerwanderungenzeit [ Age of the migrations of peoples]. It stands for the divine power of procreation.

Closely related to the Krueckenkreuz is the Krueckenrad which is more or less the same symbol but with eight Thunor`s hammers joined.

"Es ist mit dem Siegel der Acht sehr eng verwandt, aber hier find noch staerker als dort die acht Taukreuze, die Hammer Donars, herausgearbeitet."

"It is very closely connected with the Seal of the Eight, however here it is found yet more strongly carved out than there as the eight Tau crosses, the hammer of Donar."[Blachetta  is comparing this symbol to the one immediately preceding it which is called Das Siegel der Acht [the Seal of the Eight]. 

The Krueckenkreuz  has become a fairly ubiquitous symbol in the European Neofolk music scene. It is in effect a hidden straightened up fyrfot or swastika and as such its public use and display may be a useful means of communicating with the sleeping Blood Memory of unawakened Aryans that we may encounter on a daily basis. The exposure of our race to symbols is far more potent than the use of mere words. When debating with the unawakened we will only encounter resistance and opposition due to years of enemy propaganda but the manipulation of symbols enables us to get around this and speak directly to the Unconscious. Anyone familiar with Leni Riefenstahl`s Der Triumph des Willens will understand the truth of this. However the enemy is aware of this also and this is why he tries to ban the use of any Aryan or Germanic symbol in Germany or Austria that may have a potent effect upon the sleeping Volk.

Wendehorn as a Bind Rune of Man and Yr Representing the Returning Arya




"Nostalgia for the Ancient Sun, the Black Sun beyond the visible Sun, allows one to sense the return of the Man Who Is To Come. The vira extends his arms toward all sunsets, towards that Sun beyond this sun. He is the man with arms upraised and extended outwards. The Hyperborean is that man who has lost the Other Sun and is hurling himself into the night abyss of this earth with his arms open and extended downwards."[The Ultimate Avatar, Miguel Serrano].
Miguel Serrano is referring to the Algiz/Elhaz rune of the Common Germanic or Elder Futhark which is known as the Eolhx rune of the Anglo-Saxon/Anglo-Frisian/Northumbrian Futhork. This rune has the connotation of protection and defense both of a physical and spiritual kind, Elhaz being the etymological root of `Elk`. The horns of this animal provide protection and they are visually represented in this rune stave.This idea of protection is also reinforced in the meaning given to it in the Old English Rune Poem where it is referred to as the plant, `elk-sedge` which is a water plant that may cut the person who tries to grasp it.

The same rune stave is called Madhr [man] in the Younger Futhork and Man in the Armanen Futhork. The shape of the rune stave reminds us of the ancient pre-xtian prayer stance of Germanic man. Our ancestors did not kneel and grovel before their Gods with their eyes closed as the followers of the semitic Demiurge do. Instead we reach out to our Gods with our arms outstretched and eyes wide open. For they our our divine ancestors and we are their children, not their slaves. There is no submission in the Germanic religious Weltanschauung unlike the followers of the semitic godlet, as the word islam implies. Germanic man does not and cannot submit to the dictates of a cosmic tyrant. We will fight to resist the forces of international zionism and its illegitimate daughter islam. Christianity is now a spent force in northern Europe but the Demiurge is now back with a vengeance in new religious clothing and seeks the conversion of our people once again and the take over of our lands.

The Elhaz rune form allows us to integrate with the world of Asgard, to receive in our bodies the force and power of Wod/Od which many refer to as the Vril. This runic posture allows us to periodically reconnect with Wodan and receive His power and energy. Thus alongside the Isa rune it should be the most frequently practiced posture in our spiritual arsenal.

The other rune which Serrano refers to is the reversed Elhaz rune, known as Calc in the Anglo-Saxon Futhork and Yr in the Younger and Armanen Futhorks. Calc, like the Elhaz/Eolhx rune has the general idea of `horn`. The pre-xtian Germanic peoples honoured their Gods and sought fellowship with them through the drinking of the sacred mead from the horn which later was adopted by the converted Teutons in the early northern European church until Rome stamped out this practice in favour of the `chalice`. It is interesting though that Calc in Old Norse- Kalkr is adopted from the Latin `chalice` so there is a conceptual relationship between the chalice and the horn.

By the advent of the Third Reich in Germany the Armanen Man rune represented the concept of life and the Yr rune that of death. Indeed these two runes were used on gravestones and documents to show the dates of birth and death. Thus Calc/Yr became known as the Todesrune or `death rune`.  In Armanen thought these two runes also represent the Listian concept of arising-becoming-passing away-new arising. The combination of these two runes into the Younger Futhork Hagall and Armanen Hagal rune stave shows the interconnectedness of life and death. I feel that visually this is better represented in the Anglo-Saxon Ior rune. The idea of the serpent is prevalent in this rune and we are reminded of the serpent power waiting to be uncoiled at the base of the Arya`s spine.

Even better than Ior visually in terms of representing Madhr and Yr as a bind rune is the mediaeval rune Wendehorn which is not a part of any historical Futhark. I have chosen to feature this rune in the image attached to this article. The reader can see the difference between Wendehorn and Hagal for there is a trunk lying between the upper and lower parts of this stave which is more suggestive of the joining together of Yr and Madhr. Wendehorn-or Wend-horn does feature in the rune row of Karl Maria Wiligut. This term Wend-horn conveys the idea of turning-wenden, ie a turning over of the lower and upper branches of the double horn bind rune, signifying the constant arising, passing away and re-arising of the Arya who has not broken the circle of the Eternal Return. For this reason Wendehorn signifies the Aryan trapped in the return to earthly existence.

Nigel Pennick in his The Complete Illustrated Guide To Runes says that Wendhorn "represents the changing phases of the moon. Everything goes in cycles,...." Guido von List was the first runologist to convey this meaning as he stated in Das Geheimnis der Runen[The Secret of the Runes] that "the 'crescent moon' as the 'Wendehorn' is, however, also the rune of Freya, who promotes childbirth".
