A Folkish Connection Between the Runes Ingwaz and Othala

During my recent meditations and rune work I have reflected on the runes Ingwaz/Ing and Othala/Ethel/Odal.
There is a clear similarity between the shapes of the Common Germanic Ingwaz and Othala. Othala appears to be an extension of Ingwaz. Often where there is a similarity in shape between two runes there is a connection of similar meaning.
Ingwaz or Ing as it was known to the Anglo-Saxons was dedicated to the God of the English-Ing, a fertility God who was probably one of the Vanir. Indeed scholars draw a connection between Him and Freyr, surnaming Him as Yngvi-Freyr, the ancestor of the Swedish royal dynasty. The Germanic Ingvaeones also take their name from Him.
It could very well be that Ing as a deity is far older than Freyr and Freyr simply adopted the functions and attributes of the more ancient deity. This was a common practice amongst the Aryan peoples. The Ingvaeones were a West Germanic alliance of peoples dwelling on the North Sea coast who more than likely took memories of their God with them when they participated in the great Germanic invasion and colonisation of what eventually became England from the mid 5th century CE onwards. Using folk etymology we could ascribe Ing as being the father of the Inglish-English. He was a son of the great Germanic earth God Mannus[Aryo-Indian Manu]and consequently is an earth and fertility God Himself. Mannus also has His own rune but this article is not the place to explore this further.

Othala as I said is an extension in form of Ingwaz and has the general meaning of ancestral land or property. One can extend this meaning further and include inborn qualities and the very nature and essence of Germanic man. It was for these reasons that the Third Reich adopted the Odal form of this rune to signify agriculture and the concept of Blut und Boden[blood and soil]and thus ancestral inheritance, an inheritance that can only be transmitted by the virtue of the blood and unblemished blood at that. It is therefore the rune of the family, clan, tribe, Volk[folk]and ancestral or genetic inheritance.

The Old English version of the name-ethel is associated with the concept of the atheling, the noble. As we know nobility can only be transmitted by the blood. It is an inborn concept although in the times of chilvary those who were not of noble birth could be elevated to the status of knight and after several generations of good selective breeding would become noble in both blood, deed and character. The German noun Adel has the same meaning and Adel or its equivalent is a prefix in many traditional German and English forenames.
The Othala rune has two clear parts two it-the upper shape which resembles Ingwaz and thus the inner garth and the lower staves which signify the outer garth.
The seed of Ingwaz must be allowed to germinate safely in the protective inner garth, safe from any dangers and allowed to grow and be transformed and thus released into the outer garth where it may act and achieve great deeds in middle earth[midgard or middle garth] and achieve its full physical and spiritual potential. This is the interaction and dynamic that exists between Ingwaz and Othala.

The lore of the Aryo-Germanic peoples teaches us very clearly that noble characteristics are transmitted by blood and the evidence of these characteristics,ie heroic deeds is the material that furnishes the myths and legends of our great Germanic heroes such as Siegfried/Sigurd, Dietrich and Beowulf etc.
Thus we must safeguard our blood whether this be from the perils of war, famine or natural calamities or from the dangers of mscegenation. In a sense the other dangers can in the long run strengthen a people but miscegenation ultimately destroys it and is a `sin` against one`s ancestors and even more so against one`s descendants.
It is this very danger that our folk needs to guard itself against today when our governments actively work for the genocide of our race.

Fosite/Forseti-a Prototype of Thunor?

The Frisian God Fosite possessed an axe and it was He who was considered the law giver and judge of the Frisian tribes. His temple is called Axenshowe. It is possible that this Fosite is the same deity referred to in the Norse Eddas as Forseti, the son of Baldr and Nanna, whose residence was Glitnir. He is represented in the Eddas as a God who settles disputes.
Alcuin in the 8th century CE refers to an island called Fositesland, situated between Frisia and Denmark and named in honour of the God who was worshipped there.
Fosite`s Nordic counterpart Forseti is mentioned once in the Elder Edda and four times in the Younger Edda.

"Glitnir is the tenth, it has golden buttresses,
and likewise is roofed with silver;
and there lives Forseti most days
and puts to sleep all quarrels."

"There is a hall called Glitnir, it is held up by golden pillars
and likewise roofed with silver. There Forseti dwells most
days and settles disputes."

"Then the Aesir instituted their banquet and twelve Aesir who were to be judges took their places in their thrones and their names are as follows: Thor, Niord, Freyr, Tyr, Heimdall, Bragi, Vidar, Vali, Ull, Haenir, Forseti, Loki;....."

"How shall Baldr be referred to? By calling him son of Odin and Frigg, husband of Nanna, father of Forseti,......"

"Yet shall be listed names of Aesir. There is Ygg and Thor and Yngvi-Freyr, Vidar and Baldr, Vali and Heimdall. Then there is Tyr and Niord, I list Bragi next, Hod,Forseti. Here is Loki last."

There are no adventures ascribed to Him in the Eddas which gives the impression that he may have been a `minor` God, if there can be such a thing! An alternative explanation is that he represents the image of a very ancient God. We should not forget that not a great deal is mentioned about the God Tyr in the Eddas but we know that He is a much older deity than Woden and once occupied the chief seat amongst the Gods. So it is quite possible that Forseti or Fosite was eclipsed by another God. If this is the case then who could this God have been?

My guess is that He is Thunor, Forseti`s uncle. This is not so unusual as one may think. Tyr who was once senior to Woden and probably existed at a time when Woden didn`t and yet nevertheless was relegated in the Eddas to being his `son`. We see a similar thing happening with Forseti becoming the nephew of Thunor although He may have been a much older deity.
Fosite, the God of the Frisians who made up part of the Anglo-Saxon tribes like Forseti was a God of justice as the legends surrounding the origin of the Lex Frisionum [Law of the Frisians]makes clear:

Wishing to assemble written lawcodes for all his subject peoples, Charlemagne summoned twelve representatives of the Frisian people, the Āsegas ('law-speakers'), and demanded they recite their people's laws. When they could not do so after several days, he let them choose between death, slavery, or being set adrift in a rudderless boat. They chose the last and prayed for help, whereupon a thirteenth man appeared, with a golden axe on his shoulder. He steered the boat to land with the axe, then threw it ashore; a spring appeared where it landed. He taught them laws and then disappeared.The stranger and the spring are identified with Fosite and the sacred spring of Fositesland.

In addition to being both Gods of justice and having similar names Fosite carries an axe and as previous articles on my Aryan Myth and Metahistory and Celto-Germanic Culture, Myth and History blogs make clear the axe was the prototype of the hammer of the Thunder God in both Germanic and Indo-European mythology. Thus there is a link between Him and the Thunder God Thunor. Also applying the practice of folk etymology there is also a link between the name of Thor and Foresti.
The judge`s or chairman`s gavel has its origins in the hammer or axe of this God of justice as alluded to in the writings of Rune Master and Ariosophist Guido von List.
Interestingly the reference to the twelve Asegas has a parallel with the 12 Aesir-the major male Gods that is who sat in judgement at the well of Urd each day.

I believe that the legend regarding Fosite and the Asegas is the remnant of a very ancient story preserved amongst the Frisians and reveals an earlier phase of Thunor as His wielding of an axe rather than a hammer indicates.

432,000 Einheriar, the Ragnarok and Kali Yuga

"Five hundred doors, and forty eke, I think, are in Valhall, Eight hundred Einheriar will at once from each door go when they issue with the wolf to fight."
[The Lay of Grimnir,Younger Edda, Benjamin Thorpe translation].

At the time of the final battle Ragnarok 432,000 faithful warriors[540 x 800], dedicated to Woden, bearing the sign of the knot of the slain/chosen which mark them as belonging to Him will march forth to do battle against the forces of the evil desert idol jehovah and his fundamentalist muslim, christian and judaic hordes. This is reflected in the name Ragnarok itself which reading from right to left[the custom of non-Aryan languages] spells korangar-meaning the spear[gar is Germanic for spear] of the Koran.

The forces of jehovah are currently divided along the following lines:

.The `western`, `democratic`, christian/post-christian/humanist, zionist, capitalist world.

. The eastern, non-democratic, muslim world.

The latter has for the last 20 years been stirred up by the zionist-western world with the deliberate intention of moving towards an `Armageddon` or what we would term the Ragnarok, the destined end of the Gods, although we know from the Eddas that the Gods will not ultimatley die but will be replaced by a new generation of Gods, which I have thus far found 8 in number-Baldr, Hodr, Hoenir, Magni, Modi, Vidar, Vali and Njord. No Godesses are mentioned. I do not know if this was deliberate or merely an oversight.

Interestingly the number 432,000 is the number of years that the Kali Yuga will last according to Hindu mythology. Also the figure of 540 is repeated in The Lay of Grimnir at verse 24:

"Five hundred floors, and forty eke, I think, has Bilskirnir with its windings. Of all the roofed houses that I know, is my son`s the greatest."

The etymology of Bilskirnir is "the one striking lightning with rays of light".
Skaldskaparmal 4 says that Bilskirnir belongs to Thunor.

"It certainly hints vigorously at some common source from which these widely seperated traditions have descended and at some hidden meaning which makes this figure recur in them."[Page 80, The Masks of Odin Wisdom of the Ancient Norse by Elsa-Brita Titchenell.]

Clearly the composer of the Lay of Grimnir intended to draw a direct link between the 432,000 warriors and the event known as Ragnarok and this in turn is directly linked to the end of the Kali Yuga in the Hindu scriptures. As Elsa-Brita Titchenell rightly concludes they must have a common and thus an Aryan source which has been preserved in these two traditions.

Yet Rudolf Simek in his Dictionary of Northern Mythology under the entry for Valhall conjectures that the number may be "traced back to Hellenic influence" without offering a scintilla of evidence and then laughably goes on to say it "is not a number of any particular significance". Mr Simek, I beg to differ!

Wotans Krieger Recommends: `Woden` Edited By Troy Southgate

`Woden` is volume four of an exciting new series of books edited by Troy Southgate-`Thoughts & Perspectives`.
It consists of 11 powerful essays by 9 contributors including Wulf Ingessunu[also recently published in `Northern Traditions`], Offa Whitesun and Troy Southgate of Woden`s Folk. Other contributors are Dr KR Bolton, Mark Mirabello[author of The Odin Brotherhood],Eowyn[Odinic Rite], Mariella Shearer, Osred[author of Odinism, present, past and future]and Bjorn Grimgal.
This is one of the most powerful books on the subject of the Germanic God Woden/Wotan/Odin that I have read in a long time and managed to finish reading the entire book in just a few days. For me one of the most exciting essays[they are all powerful and inspiring] was Dr Bolton`s `Woden As Archetype The Carl Jung Essay` which draws together all the threads which connect Dr Jung`s work on Wotan, his correspondence with Miguel Serrano and the mystical Wotanist experiences of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. This essay must be read and reread!
It is also good to see Wulf Ingessunu`s work beginning to reach a far wider audience and I thank Mr Southgate for that.
Please Mr Southgate I would like to see further published work on the subject of the Germanic people`s primary deity!

A Personal Mystical Vision of the Runes

Last Friday I had an unusual experience when the vision in my left eye was affected. At the time I thought that I might be going blind but a subsequent medical examination revealed it to be an ocular or retinal migraine.
When I closed my left eye I could see a bright fiery ring, a semi-circle in fact and within the rim of this semi-circle I could clearly perceive a sequence of runes.
I blinked and closed my eyes and the same thing happened again.
After several days of reflecting on this stange episode I was reminded that the great Rune Lord Himself, Woden, our All-Father sacrificed an eye in order to gain the wisdom of the runes. We should remember that Woden did not `invent` the runes: they did not originate with Him for they are in a sense timeless. They revealed themselves to Him whilst He hung suspended on the world tree in an apparent shamanic trance state.

"I know that I hung, on a wind-rocked tree, nine whole nights, with a spear wounded, and to Odin offered, myself to myself; on that tree, of which no one knows from what root it springs.
Bread no one gave me, nor a horn of drink, downward I peered, to runes applied myself, wailing learnt them, then fell down thence."
[Poetic Edda, Havamal 140-141]

It is more than possible that whilst in this state Woden was deprived of some if not all of his normal 5 senses and he may have perceived the runes in His `mind`s eye`.

Woden sacrificed an eye to the well of Mimir in exchange for wisdom:

"The owner of this well is called Mimir. He is full of wisdom, because he drinks the waters of the well from the horn Gjoll every morning. One day All-Father came and begged a draught of this water, which he obtained, but was obliged to leave one of his eyes as a pledge for it."
[Prose Edda]

The runes are inextricably linked with the acquisition of wisdom and they have an existence which is independant of the Gods.

The great Rune Master Guido von List received the revelation of his Armanen Futhork whilst in a state of blindness which lasted 11 months following a cataract operation in 1902. Interestingly his 18 rune Futhork is compatable with the 18 rune stanza poem in Havamal, known as the Runatal.

The Norns, the Matrons and the Runes

In Tacitus` Germania he refers to Germanic priests drawing "lots" with "certain signs" being marked upon them:

"They attend to auspices and lots like no one else. Their practice with lots is straightforward. Cutting a branch from a fruit tree, they chop it into slips and, after marking these out with certain signs, cast them completely at random over a white cloth. Then a civic priest, if the consultation is official, or the head of the family, if private, prays to the gods and, gazing up at the heavens, draws three seperate slips: these he interprets by the previously inscribed mark. If the lots are opposed, consultation on the matter is over for that day; but if they allow, the confirmation of the auspices is still required."[Section 10.1]

Although Tacitus does not refer to these marks as runes, given that we have surviving runic inscriptions dating back to about 150CE and we should remember that most inscriptions if they were made on materials such as wood would have perished anyway.Tacitus would not have known that these marks were runes or letters as such as they would have been unfamiliar to him. He wrote his Germania around 98CE, around or shortly after their appearance in the historical or archaeological record.

It is significant that Tacitus refers to the drawing of three slips or rune staves. This is a practice that is in common use today by Rune Masters in divination and reflects the activities of the three Norns or Nornir, Urd[that which has become], Verdandi[that which is becoming] and Skuld[that which should occur]; in simplistic terms, past, present and future. It is after the one rune reading one of the simplest methods that can be used but at the same time gives great insight into the root cause of a condition or set of circumstances as well as the present issue and likely outcome.

We should not view the future as fixed. By interacting with the Norns via the rune staves we can help shape the future as this is largely dependant on current action and past circumstances. To a large extent each man can help to shape his own wyrd.

The Norns remind me of the the female deities that are attested to on votive stones in the western Rhein region in present day Germany and France. The Matronae or matrons/mothers were fertility Goddesses who are presented in groups of three, two usually wearing some form of female head attire and the third bare headed, representing a young girl, possibly a virgin. This in particular reminds me of the Norn Skuld, who is presented as the youngest of the three. We should assume that the Matrons are Germanic or at least Celto-Germanic as they are featured wearing indigenous styles of clothing, not Roman as one would have expected if the cult originated with them.

Runa

Many years ago when I was a young man, approximately 20 years of age I had a hypnopompic dream or at least I thought that it was a dream. I may very well have been in a light trance at the time. Back then and even now it is difficult for me to distinguish which it may have been.
I heard an audible voice say to me as I was lying on my bed, "Behold I show you a mystery" which corresponds with a verse from the New Testament[I Corinthians 15:51];

"Behold I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

Back then I had already started out on my spiritual path, my quest for wisdom, knowledge and truth and living in a nominally Christian country it was natural that I should seek such wisdom in the Christian tradition and so I had began an exhaustive biblical study to seek answers and indeed to seek the right questions to answer!
However I was not consciously familiar with this verse although I may very well have encountered it in my readings and thus it may have sunk down into my Subconscious mind. However this may have happened its revelation to me marked a moment of transition or initiation into the mysteries or RUNA as we would call it in the Rune Gild.

It is significant that only the very first part of the verse from I Corinthians was revealed to me which had no obvious Christian content whatsoever. Only now after 30 years do I understand the message of this `dream` if that is what it is.
"Behold I show you a mystery" corresponds very well to the motto of the Rune Gild: "Reyn til Runa!"[Search out the mysteries].
It is through the dream state that our ancestors were able to communicate with the Gods, Goddesses, ancestors and other advanced spiritual entities. They are still communicating with us this way today.

Thor`s Hammer Found in Yorkshire

A VIKING treasure pendant, which has laid buried for more than 1,000 years, has been unearthed by an amateur archaeologist.

The silver pendant, known as Thor's Hammer, has been declared treasure at an inquest in Harrogate.

It had been found near Coprove in September last year, by metal detectorist Michael Smith, who, not knowing what it was, had dismissed it as worthless.

"I've been going to this spot for quite a few years," he told the coroner. "I didn't know what it was, I thought it was a bit of rubbish.

"I put it on a forum when I got home, but it was a couple of months later that someone said 'isn't that a Thor's Viking Hammer?'"

Only two or three have ever been found in the UK; the pendant is believed to date back to between the 9th and 11th centuries.

In Norse mythology, Thor was the god of thunder and his distinctively shaped hammer Mjolner is depicted as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of levelling mountains.

To find a remaining pendant of this Norse symbol, is something of a "coup", said Mr Smith, who, despite many years of experience, was still quite excited by the find.

"You never know what you are going to pick up," he said after the inquest. "Sometimes it's tat, but it's always exciting to see that glint out of the corner of your eye and know that it could be treasure."

Viking find

The 54-year-old, from Cottingley, has been touring North Yorkshire sites since he bought his first metal detector in the 1970s.

"Now I'm always out doing it," said Mr Smith. "I bought my first one from a second hand shop - paid well over the odds for it, mind. Been metal detecting ever since."

The Viking pendant is not the first of his finds. He has discovered some real rarities over the years, which he shares with members of an internet forum, www.detectorist.co.uk

A fortnight ago, at Tadcaster, he found nine King Edward I coins and one King Edward II coin, and just before Christmas last year he found a Saxon pendant near Northallerton.

"One day at Thorner I picked up a 3,500 year-old flint," he said. "It's better than gold. The last person to touch that was probably sat at his fire, shaping his flint, or he could have shot it at a deer and lost it."

His favourite piece is a Roman brooch. "I've unearthed Roman, Saxon, Viking, everything," he said. "But that's my favourite, I wouldn't sell it for the world. I was chuffed to bits when I found it."

Harrogate museums have expressed an interest in buying the pendant, and it is now with valuers who will decide what it is worth. But for Mr Smith, the money doesn't matter, it is all about the adventure.

"It's about getting out and doing something," he said. "I learn more about history than I ever did at school, I have got to know all the different kings and queens.

"Knowing that you're the first person to touch it, in thousands of years, is quite beautiful. The last person to hold that pendant would have been a real Viking."

The Fylfot and Church Bells

I discovered an interesting connection between the pealing of church bells and the sign of the Swastika/hammer of Thunor in Stephen Taylors The Fylfot File. Rev. Taylor states that the Flyfot appears on a number of church bells in the mid-eastern counties of England. He has identified 40 churches that contain such Flyfots in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and Yorksire. Of course these counties are situated in the old Danelaw part of England where Germanic heathenism was reintroduced to a christianised Anglo-Saxon population by Danish settlers.
He believes that the occurence of the Flyfot is linked to pre-Christian Germanic tradition. The Fylfot as we know represents the hammer of Thunor/Thor,Donar and in Sweden in Thor`s temples the sound of thunder was imitated by the striking of pieces of metal with a hammer. There may be also an association between this and the presence of cauldrons in myths relating to Thor. Quoting from another author[Ernest J. Eitel] he states: "Perhaps also you remember to have heard that among the German peasantry and in Iceland the same figure is used as a magical charm to dispel thunder."
Rev Taylor goes on to refer to the medieaval custom English custom of ringing church bells to dispel storms and pestilence. Many European bells bore the Latin inscription Fulgura Frango, "I break up the lightning".
He also refers to an Icelandic magical ritual which was intended to deter or punish thieves:"If a man owns a `Thor`s Hammer`, he will know who it is who has robbed him if he loses anything. To make this hammer, one must have copper from a church bell, three times stolen. The hammer must be hardened in human blood on a Whitsunday, between the reading of the Epistle and the Gospel. A spike must also be forged out of the same material as the hammer, and this spike one must jab against the head of the hammer, saying: "I drive this in the eye of the Father of War, I drive this in the eye of the Father of the Slain, I drive this in the eye of Thor of the Aesir." The thief will then feel pain in his eyes; if he does not return the stolen goods, the procedure is repeated, and then the thief will lose one eye; but should it prove necessary to repeat it a third time, he will lose the other eye too."[Quoted via Icelandic Folktales and Legends, Jacqueline Simpson].
We can learn much about our ancient religion by analysing certain aspects of medieaval church practice which contains many elements of our ancient faith.
The above image is that of an early sign of a Thorshammar. One can clearly see the fusion of the traditional hammer of Thor and that of the Flyfot.

Wolfsangel-The Rune of Coming Germanic Resistance

The Wolfsangel or Wolf-hook Rune does not form part of any historic futharkh although Nigel Pennick in his Secrets of the Runes does place this rune within a fifth Aett.
The rune represents "an ancient iron weapon used to catch and kill wolves. Wolsangel channels magical energy for human use. First it binds all harmful influences and then it obliterates them"[page 77 of The Complete Illustrated Guide To Runes by Nigel Pennick].
He also considers that along with the Anglo-Saxon rune Stan, Wolfsangel is the rune of Vidar, destroyer of the Fenris-wolf[page 119].
"Its greatest use is in binding powerful forces of disorder and dissolution."
"Also, as a wall anchor, it maintained order, preventing the spreading of walls, and the possible collapse of the building."
[page 97, Secrets of the Runes by Nigel Pennick].
The rune is also associated with the sky-God Tyr who sacrificed an arm in order to bind the Fenris-wolf. Its element is earth, its polarity is female, its colour red and it is linked to the metal iron.
With its capacity to bind and destroy forces of disorder and dissolution it was used by the freemen, peasants and farmers of Germany during the Thirty Years War from 1618-1648[a war by the way instigated and prolonged by the forces of Christianity].
Hermann Loens[1866-1914] published his powerful fictional chronicle Der Wehrwolf[The Warwolf] in 1910.
On page 78 of the English translation Loens wrote: "Wolf-runes were carved into the trees in every direction around the hills; they signified: 'Beware! Before you is an abyss, and should you fall in, you are doomed!'" This work will be of interest to Wodenists as there is a clear pre-Christian Germanic religious undercurrent running throughout the whole of the book.
Not surprisingly Der Wehrwolf was required reading for Heinrich Himmler's SS in the closing stages of WWII when Germany was encircled by Bolshevic and Zionist-Capitalist forces, ready to invade and pollute Germany`s sacred soil.
The Wolfsangel became the dreaded symbol of the SS Werewolves and it was found daubed over the doors of collaborators and other traitors. The bodies of executed traitors also bore this sign on a placard as a warning to others who would consider betraying their Volk and Vaterland.
The SS and other non-SS Werewolf units acted as a modern form of the medieaval Holy Vehme who according to Stephen E. Flowers, Ph.D[Edred Thorsson]has its origins in the eight century CE and its revival in the 14th-15th centuries CE with the breakdown of law and order in Germany: "In this time when ancient principles were being violated by the very ones who were supposed to be upholding them[knights and nobles-my emphasis]there arose a mysterious institution: the Holy Vehme[Feme/Veme and Vehme].
The Vehme itself was of ancient origin. Its formal institutions go back to the time of Charlemagne who had established in the law the idea of free-courts in which freemen could apply ancient customary laws to ensure peace and good order in society."[The Northern Dawn. A History of the Awakening of the Germanic Spirit. Volume 1 From the Twilight of the Gods to the Sun at Midnight].
The existence of the Holy Vehme can be traced right through from Charlemagne to the 14-15th century CE, to the 30 Years War, to the Freikorps and the aftermath of WW1 and the Werewolf resistance movement from 1944 to 1949. A thorough history of the Werewolves is given in The Last Nazis. SS Werewolf Guerilla Resistance in Europe 1944-1947 by Perry Bidiscombe. An earlier work by Charles Whiting called Werewolf. The Nazi Resitance Movement 1944-1945 is less authorative in my opinion and quite dismissive in the achievements of these young heroes.
The identity of the members of the Vehme was secret, they met in secret and passed judgement and execution on those who were found guilty of betraying their folk. Execution was mainly carried out by hanging. No doubt this was an unconscious offering to the God of the hanged, Woden.
This rune is beginning to re-emerge in the consciousness of Germanic people, faithful to their Gods who see their lands being systematically invaded and destroyed by alien hordes who are being encouraged to flood our lands by the very democratically elected representatives of the people. The rule of this rootless and folkless political and economic elite is fast coming to an end and they will in time be judged by the people who they have so shamefully betrayed. Their rule is fast coming to an end.

Witchdom of the True-a Review

I have just completed my first reading of Edred Thorsson`s Witchdom of the True A Study of the Vana-Troth and the Practice of Seidhr.
As always Edred provides penetrating insight into the subject at hand. He starts with establishing the history of the Vana-Troth in Scandinavia, Germany and England and its subsequent suppression by the powerful Christian Church. It would benefit us all, whether we be Asa-tru, Vana-tru or followers of the modern religion of Wicca to realise that the very term wicca is an Old English term meaning the male practitioner of wiccedom[witchdom], wiccecraeft[witchcraft] or wiccung[witching]. It is correctly pronounced 'WITCHuh' and not 'wicker'. The female practitioner was known as a wicca['WITCHah']. The 'Lord` and 'Lady' of Wicca are none other than the Vanir Freyr and Freyja. Whilst this is a legitimate Germanic path and should be regarded as a twin pillar of the Germanic Troth the modern revival of the religion is largeley divorced from its Germanic cultural and spiritual roots and has been used as a tool in recent decades by neo-Marxists to promote their genocidal multicultural and multiracial agenda.
One cannot and should not 'pick and choose' one`s Gods: they are part of one's DMA, one's flesh and blood. For many years we of the folkish Odinist/Wodenist/Wotanist path have realised this. Religion is inseperable from the racial identity of a given folk.
By studying the true Vana origins of Wicca individual practitioners of this path may begin to hear and respond to the Call of the Blood and begin to restructure their practices and beliefs in line with the authentic and traditional practices and beliefs of the Germanic folk to which Vana-tru belongs.
Edred in this book explores the differences between Asa-tru and Vana-tru but also points out their commonality of belief. Whilst Asa-tru focuses on being true to the Aesir Gods and Goddeses Vana-tru focuses on the Vanir who occupied different functions from the Aesir. It should be remembered though that after the First War of the Gods and their subsequent truce and peace agreement the Vanir were joined to and largely subsumed by the Aesir under the lordship of All-Father Woden Himself. However although now part of the Aesir they maintained a seperate identity and Vanir.
The differences between the paths of authentic Vana-tru Wicca and Asa-tru are also to be seen in their different approaches to magic. Vana-tru practitioners use seidr as their principal approach which involves entering trance states and possibly a certain amount of shamanism whilst the Erulian's principal magical tool is the Runes. The Rune Master does not enter into a trance state but approaches the Runes with a combination of intellect[being cognisant of the history, traditions and poems connected to the Runes] and inspiration. Rune Magic has a more intellectual and a less emotional component than seidhr. The principal God of the Runes and Asa-tru is of course the All-Father and Rune Lord Woden whilst in Vana-tru and Wicca it is the Lord and Lady, Freyr and Freyja.
Throughout the book Edred appeals to those who find themselves in the Wicca religion to research and acknowledge the Germanic basis to their religion and for it to be reformed along authentic, traditional, folkish and Germanic lines. There is much work to be done but this book represents an effective and intelligent start and basis for Vana-tru revival within Wicca.

Wotans Krieger-My Awakening

One thing that we hear too little of in folkish circles is what the Christians would call peoples 'testimonies'.It can be both interesting and encouraging to hear how others with a similar Weltanschauung came to their current beliefs.
I am and always have been a spiritual seeker and being born in a Christian country I naturally began my quest within the prevailing Judeo-Christian religious hegemony.
From my mid teens onward I started to study the Christian Bible, first of all out of interest and then to seek meaning for my existence. At the same time I devoured books on Spiritualism, being convinced that I was a 'Christian Spiritualist'[if there can be such a thing].I spent the best part of 20 years studying the Bible and wandering from church to church, seeking answers and the fellowship of like minded people.I frequented Anglican, Evangelical Free Church, Pentecostal and house churches.
For a long time I tried to ignore the numerous errors and contradictions within the Bible, most especially the various gospel accounts of the life, death and supposed resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
A crisis point came in 1989 with the passing of my mother. Not only did I fail to receive any consolation from these so-called 'loving' Christians but for a long time I failed to feel at ease within the churches, having arguments and confrontations with other Christians over points of doctrine and belief etc. With the passing of my German mother I began to explore the history of the German people, starting with WWII and working back to pre-Christian times, the era of the Voelkerwanderungenzeit.I also started to master the German tongue and over the years from 1994 to 2001 I gained 3 qualifications to Diploma level in this language and qualifications in Dutch and Swedish. Since then I have also gained a Diploma in Rune Divination amongst other subjects. I also studied over languages; Old English and Latin. In 1989 I heard for the first time the music of Richard Wagner`s Der Ring Des Nibelungen and developed a passion for this music, sensing a strange affinity which could not be articulated with words. It spoke to my German and Germanic soul. My love of Wagner`s music led to an interest in and a study of the Runes and Germanic mythology which eventually led to my abandonment of Christianity and my turning to the religion of my Anglo-Saxon and German ancestors: Wotanism/Wodenism.
I felt within me an inner struggle between Jesus Christ and Wotan/Woden and Wotan/Woden won that struggle. It was the beginning of my awakening. I could deny neither the Call of the Blood nor the Call of the Gods. It was simply not consistent for me to hold to a universalist religion and a Hebrew god and maintain the folkish Weltanschauung that I had discovered. The inner tension that existed within me for years finally disappeared and has never returned. One does not 'convert' to Wotanism/Wodenism/Odinism one returns to it. For this religion is a part of our very DNA. As long as the Germanic people continue to exist our Gods will survive. However if our Gods perish then so will we as a distinct people.
Out of the blue approximately 9-10 years ago I received a mail shot from Woden's Folk and something resonated deep within me. I duly responded and joined that organisation as a Supporter, then quickly progressing on to an apprenticeship, becoming a Fellow after my initiation and taking of the Oath of Profession. This marked a major turning point in my life for the first time I began to apply my knowledge in a religious way, worshiping the Gods, not just reading about them. My religion defines now who and what I am and all being well will define my daughter as well.
Woden is calling and his Valkyries are choosing His elect. Will you hear the call?

The All-Father and His Subdivision

All the Gods and Goddesses are but aspects of the All-Father who is Himself a revelation of the Absolute, the unknown, unknowable, unrevealed, impersonal and immaterial God.
This Urgott is androgenous but in order to experience He/She/It must first divide Him/Her/Itself into male and female, to become a divine dyad. Spirit must condense and become spirit/matter,soul/body,light/darkness,day/night,heat/cold,fire/water etc.
We find that the Gods obtain their divine consorts[Wuotan/Frigga,etc].
The dyad subsequently becomes the triad. Throughout the Eddas we find that All-Father Wuotan/Wotan/Woden/Odin is often accompanied by two other Gods:
Wuotan-Wili-We
Wuotan-Hoenir-Lodur
Wuotan-Hoenir-Fricco
Wuotan-Thor-Fricco
Har-Jafnhar-Thridi
The Aesir gives form to humanity and lower intelligence but it is Wuotan alone who grants spirit,soul that imparts to them the divine ray.
This triad is also present in the three Norns-Urda, Verdandi and Skuld. We also see this replicated in the Listian concept of Arising-Becoming-Passing Away to New Arising.
The three most holy ones subdivide into the heptad, represented by the 7 planetary spirits:
Sun-the Urfyr[pimaeval fire], All-Father symbolised by the empty circle, representing not only the sun but eternity. This is the central and most important celestial body, without which there can be no life in this physical and material plane of being and becoming.
Moon-Mani/Mannus/Manu-the progenitor of Aryan humanity-the only true humanity which originates on the moon which is considerably older than the earth.

Jupiter-Thor
Venus-Freya
Saturn-Surtur
This system replicates itself in the days of the week-

All the Aryan peoples have a continual reminder about the legacy of their ancient and ancestral Gods in the days of the week.
There are of course seven colours in the spectrum of the rainbow but we must remember that three of these-blue, yellow and red are the most important and only true colours. The other four merely mark transitional phases in the spectrum. We find this concept also in the idea of the three most important Gods-Wuotan and the other two[who of course vary in identity].
Ariosophy speaks of seven elements-fire, water, air, earth and aether. The sixth and seventh elements will not be revealed until the emergence of the sixth and seventh Root Races.
There are 7 Goddesses of love-Gefion, Snotra, Siofna, Loba, Wara, Syna and Fene.
The seven must be viewed as the division of the white light into the seven-leveled spectrum of the rainbow. Also in music tones rise along seven levels to a higher octave.
There are also seven Root Races and humanity is currently at the end of the fifth Aryan Root Race and is preparing itself for its higher spiritual evolution into the sixth Root Race. Man will start to ascend back into spirit, away from matter.
The heptad further divides into the twelve High Holy Gods of the North, referred to in the Eddas and respresented by the 12 signs of the zodiac, the twelve months of the year and the twelve halls of the Gods.

May Day

May Day[May the 1st] also known as Beltane is under attack by the Tory government. I suspect that this is less to do with its socialist connotations which are relatively recent and more to do with its authentic heathen and Aryan roots. This government just like any other is anti-Aryan and under undue influence from the christian churches to push through a christian agenda.
In the German speaking lands it is the day after Walpurgisnacht which is one of those times of the year when the veil between Midgard and the other eight worlds is thin.
Among the Celtic peoples Bel is like His Germanic counterpart Balder, a solar deity. His festival announces the beginning of of the summer half of the year when in pre-christian times fires were lit all over northern Europe and people jumped through the flames and smoke to purify themselves and to generate fertility.
According to Nigel Pennick[Practical Magic in the Northern Tradition]the Beltane fire was constructed from the woods of nine different trees. Nine of course is a sacred number in Germanic lore. All fires in the villages were extinguished on May Eve and then relit from the central need-fire which is represented by the rune Nauthiz/Nyd/Naudh/Not. The very shape of this rune which does not appear to vary among the various futharks/futhorks is symbolic of the bow drill used to spark the Need Fire.
The jumping over the fire according to Grimm[Teutonic Mythology] is a more recent substitute for human and then later animal sacrifice.
There were of course the famous meetings of witches on Mayday on the Brocken mountain in the Harz in Lower Saxony. Walter Keating Kelly states that "The human witches of Northern Europe are degenerate and abhorred representatives of the ancient goddesses and their attendants, who were themselves developments of the primitive conception of the cloud-women; but witches, even in their degraded state, exhibit a multitude of characteristics by which we can recognise the originals of whom they are but loathsome caricatures."[Curiosities of Indo-European Tradition and Folk-lore]
The Maypole is representative of both the world ash tree, Yggdrasil or Irminsul, the unmoveable representation of the North Star, Asgard. The human spine is also a type of world tree and via it the Sun Initiate may ascend from the lowest of the nine worlds, Hel to the highest, Asgard and other intermediate worlds via spiritual practices such as Rune Yoga and within this spiritual discipline specific exercises such as the Yew Tree working[Nine Doors of Midgard by Edred Thorsson].
The Maypole also represents the phallus and the dancing around it with the coloured streamers signifies both the release of sperm and the kindling of the Need-Fire.
Human life begins with the descent of spirit into matter forming a cross. The vertical line being the direction of spirit and the horizontal being matter. Having descended into physical form the Sun Initiate`s task is to gain experience and then to seek the ascent from matter back into spirit. After sufficient spiritual evolution the Initiate is free from the compulsion of Eternal Recurrence and becomes as it were a God-man, free to choose to return when and where he or she wishes as an avatar. Life in the physical body in reality is a form of sleep and we are in a perpetual dream state. Only with the release of our true Self from the confines of matter will we truly awaken and take with us our life experience as waking from a vivid dream.
This process represents the Armanic concept of Arising-Becming-Passing Away-New Arising taught by Guido von List. Incarnation into individual physical bodies by the God force is an atomisation of the divine and such atomisation or seperation creates the feeling of the "I" and "Not I" which is an illusion. With the release from matter this artificial seperation is extinguished and we again become directly connected with the Absolute.
With the practice of meditation, concentration, visualisation, breathing techniques, runic mantras and runic body shapes we can achieve greater awareness and detachment from illusion. We must as Initiates take the runes beyond the practice of divination and use them as a tool given to the the Germanic peoples to achieve spiritual awakening and upward evolution.

The Valknut, Sacred Sign of Woden

The Valknut is one of the most mysterious of Germanic sacred symbols and is associated with the God Woden/Wotan/Odin.
It consists of three interlocked triangles and appears on a number of objects, ranging from standing stones to rings and other items. The Germanic scholar Hilda Ellis Davidson stated: "...beside the figure of Odin on his horse shown on several memorial stones there is a kind of knot depicted, called the valknut, related to the triskele. This is thought to symbolise the power of the god to bind and unbind, mentioned in the poems and elsewhere. Odin has power to lay bonds upon the mind, so that men become helpless in battle, and he could also loosen the tensions of fear and strain by his gifts of battle-madness, intoxification, and inspiration. Symbols resembling this knot of Odin are found beside figures of the horse and wolf on certain cremation urns from early heathen cemetries in East Anglia."[Page 147 of Gods and Myths of Northern Europe].
Edred Thorsson in his Futhark A Handbook of Rune Magic states on page 107: "Valknutr[the knot of the fallen, or chosen]-the Nine Worlds embodied in the three realms in eternal unity expressing the evolutionary law of arising-being/becoming-passing-away to new beginning." This clearly demonstrates a key idea in Listian thought.
Nigel Pennick in his Practical Magic in the Northern Tradition[page 200] states:"The valknut is composed of three interlinked equilateral triangles. The nine lines symbolize the nine worlds of the Norse tradition, the power of three times three. Specifically, it is a symbol of Odin, and is sometimes used with an eye at the centre. As a protector, it invokes the power of eternal unity. Its name means the knot of the fallen[or chosen] ones.
Ron McVan in his Creed of Iron on page 88 states: "Valknut. "Knot of the slain", this is the sign of Wotan symbolizing his power of binding and loosening, which is especially shown in the field of battle. The Valknut is worn only by those who choose to give themselves to Wotan. The Valknut is a sign to Wotan that one is ready to be taken into the ranks of his chosen warriors at any time he chooses."
The Valknut like the Hammer of Thunor may be traced in the air as a means of blessing.
Clearly this sacred sign has a shamanic function as hinted by Nigel Pennick with his reference to the nine lines symbolizing the nine worlds of Germanic mythology. We recall that Woden is the rider of Yggdrasil, the world tree and is able to manifest Himself in different dimensions not being bound by the normal laws of time and space that govern our lives here in Midgard. The association of the Valknut with the wolf referred to by Hilda Ellis Davidson also hints at further shamanic links as the shifting from man into animal, especially the wolf in the Northern Tradition is a shamanic function. We recall also the Volsunga dynasty or the Wuffingas as they were known in East Anglia and their abilty to transform into the form of the wolf. Clearly they have inherited this abilty from their divine ancestor the wolf lord Woden.
As the aforementioned authors pointed out the wearing of this symbol does signify our readiness to be both used by the High God Woden and if necessary to die for Him. Those who don this sign must therefore think extremely carefully before doing so as Woden will not forget any bargain made.

Maidenschaft in the Pre-Historic Aryo-Germanic Age

Karl Maria Wiligut put forward the concept of a Maidenschaft or `society of maidens` in ancient pre-historic Germanic times[see the aforementioned essay in Secret King by Dr Stephen Edred Flowers and Michael Moynihan.]which was divided into four distinct levels and collectively were known as BURGMADIENS:

The HEXAS-Their responsibility was primarily the care and preservation of the eternal flame which was used in part for signalling purposes between burgs and these Hexas were also initiated into herbology and animal healing. They represented the lowest level of Bugmaidens.

The DRUDAS-Their responsibility was primarily to act as wise counselors but also like the Hexas they had knowledge of herb lore and used their knowledge and surgical skills for the healing of humans.

The WALAS-Their primary responsibility was the management of the Maidenschaft and had to possess all the knowledge of the two lower levels. They were repositories of clanic and tribal knowledge and had the powers of Hell-sehen[clairvoyance] and Hel-sehen[necromancy].

The ALBRUNAS-They were the highest group and like the Walas they acted as counselors but for the entire Volk.

Much of this teaching is compatable with the details found in the mysterious Frisian chronicle called the Oera Linda Book. Hermann Wirth, the first president of the Deutsches Ahnenerbe translated it into German in 1933 and this caused controversy in National Socialist circles because of the implied matriarchal nature of ancient Frisian and Germanic society. This concept is carried over into Wirth`s 1928 work Der Aufgang der Menscheit[The Rise of Mankind].

The Oera Linda Book uses very much the same terminology as Wiligut and focuses on the importance of the maintenance of the eternal flame which was used for sacred ceremonial purposes. As in other Aryan societies the sacred flame was tended by virgin priestesses and each family`s hearth was lit by this flame.
"Whenever a burgh is built, the lamp belonging to it must be lighted at the original lamp in Texland, and that can only be done by the folk-mother."
Chapter VI of The Oera Linda Book].

Wiligut maintains that not only were the Burgmaidens virgins but it was also preferred that wherever possible that hermaphrodites were initiated into this order of priestesses. Their exclusion from mating practices helped to limit their sexual activity and thus ensure that this abnormality was not transmitted to other generations. An interesting application of practical eugenics!

Wiligut`s use of the term Burgmaiden also corresponds with the term Burgtmaagd to be found in the Oera Linda Book. The mother of the white races to be found in Atland, the original location of this Germanic civilisations was called Frya, the daughter of Irtha[Erde, Mother Earth] and Wr-alda, a form of the All-Father. The astute reader will note the similarity of Frya with the name of the Vanadis Freyja.
The author of The Other Atlantis and Secrets of Lost Atland Robert Scrutton has this to say in The Other Atlantis[page 24]: "The ancestors of Frya`s white race may have been the tall Cro-Magnons who left evidence of their skills in Europe. Archaeological evidence suggests that Cro-Magnon man was well over six feet tall, intelligent and good-looking."
Frya was clearly Nordic in appearance: "Frya was white like the snow at sunrise, and the blue of her eyes vied with the rainbow. Beautiful Frya! Like the rays of the sun shone the locks of her hair, which were as fine as spider`webs."[Chapter II of the Oera Linda Book].

It is interesting that the second highest group were called Drudas which no doubt is related to the Celtic priestly order of Druids.Peter Berresford Ellis in his book The Druids provides evidence for the existence of female Druids and many Celtic scholars propose that the orders of Druids did in fact continue to exist in post conversion times and formed the basis of medieaval hospitals, monasteries and nunneries.

Ancient Roman writers such as Tacitus give examples of Germanic priestesses and present them as powerful figures with a great deal of political influence.
The seeress Veleda was apparently even revered almost as a divinity. Pre-christian Germanic man regarded women, especially those who were noble-born as being repositories of divine wisdom and even powerful princes and chieftains often consulted with them for advice on how to proceed in matters of peace and war. "In the days of the Divine Vespasian we saw how Veleda was long esteemed by many as a supernatural power, and they have in the past revered Aurina also, and many others: not like sycophants, though, making them gods."[Tacitus` Germania:8.2]

The Ehaz/Algiz/Eolh,Madhr/Man Rune-The Correct Form in Which to Petition the Germanic Gods

How did the Germanic peoples petition their Gods and Godesses? According to Edred Thorsson in Futharc they did so in adopting the stance of the Rune stave Elhaz or Algiz, the 15th Rune of the 24 Rune Elder or Common Germanic Futharc and the 15th Rune known as Eolh of the 29 Rune Anglo-Saxon Futhorc and the 33 Rune Northumbrian Futhorc.
In the 16 Rune Younger Futharc it occupies the 14th position and is known as Madhr. In the 18 Rune Armanen Futhorc it occupies the 15th position and is known as Man.
There is a link between Elhaz and the Gothic word alhs which means sanctuary or a protected grove or enclosure which has been dedicated to the Gods. Edred speculates that Alcis, the name of the divine twins reported by Tacitus in Germania may be related to the Rune name Algiz. In Edred`s words: `Elhaz is the power of human life and "spirit" striving toward the world of the Aesir.`
The Rune is also representative of the world tree, Yggdrasil or Irminsul and thus symbolises a connection between the Gods and Germanic man. When petitioning or speaking to the Gods this is the stance that we should adopt.
The Armanen Man Rune represents the God-Man, the male principle in the cosmos.
How refreshing it is for the Germanic man or woman of today who after hearing the call of the blood realises that we stand almost as equals to the Gods-almost. Not as powerful in the earthly and human incarnation but we represent the seed of new Gods who will follow, children of Woden and Thunor and all the Germanic Gods and Goddesses who are nothing other than our divine ancestors. We are their children. A child does not cower before his or her parents but with reverence and love stretches forth his or her arms towards them. By contrast the followers of the angry and psychotic desert tribal god of Judaism, Christianity and Islam cower before their god adopting a subservient posture-not so with Germanic man who is a God-Man[or woman!] in the making.

The Sign of the Hammer

The sign of the hammer is one of the most sacred if no not the most sacred symbol in our holy Germanic faith and the sign of the hammer should be made prior to any magical or spiritual activity.
The "All-Gods Form of Hammer-Signing" involves facing north, standing straight with a settled breathing rhythm and visualise a glowing mass of golden-white energy above your head which begins to form the holy sign of the trifos or triskelion. Reach out with your open right hand towards this light and grasp it from its centre. Then make a fist and move this down to your forhead, visualising a column of energy being brought down and intone the name of the God Tyr or Tiw. Allow one fifth of the energy to fill your forehead and then bring your fist down to the top of your sternum, again visualising that you are drawing down the energy with your fist and intone the name of the God Odin, Woden or Wotan. Again you are drawing one fifth of the energy into this area. Continue now to your solar plexus, intoning the name of the God Thor, Thunor or Donar. Then after having allowed one fifth of the energy to be drawn in to your solar plxus move your fist to your left shoulder, taking the energy with you and leaving one fifth there and intone the name of the Godess Freyja or Freo. The finally move your fist to your right shoulder and leave the remaining energy there and intone the name of the God Freyr or Frea.
Detailed instructions may be found in Edred Thorsson`s The Nine Doors of Midgard and A Book of Troth and Temple of Wotan by Ron McVan. These books are highly recommended by the author of this blog.
Things and people may be hallowed by making the hammer sign in the air using the index finger or hand, moving downwards then unde across to the left and then towards the right.
Edred Thorsson makes the interesting point in his Gildisbok that the making of the hammer sign was stolen by the Christians from the heathen Germanic peoples to make the sign of the cross and used in a similar way to make their own blessings.

Lunar Origins of the Aryan Race

It has only been in recent years that scientists have been starting to conclude that the Moon is in fact older than the Earth and may not originally have been a satellite of the earth but a planet of greater significance than the earth.
This truth was already known for thousands of years by the great adepts of the Aryan race and openly discussed by Aryosophists, Theosophists and Anthrosophists.
In Die Religion der Ario-Germanen Guido von List states "Now, the Secret Doctrine says that the Moon was the father of the Earth, and in a state of torpor-much like that of death-it shriveled up and became smaller than the earth and was forced to follow along in the orbit of the Earth as its satellite, and it gave up its developed inhabitants to the Earth and these form the race of men here on the Earth in contrast to those formed from the earthly animal kingdom."[Trnaslation by Dr Stephen Edred Flowers-The Religion of the Aryo-Germanic Folk].
He goes on to talk further about this lunar humanity:"These spirits descended from the Moon-these lunar ancestors-whom the All-Father incarnated into the bodies of those created by the other two Ases[Hoenir and Lodur] to form the human race, and for this reason Mannus, the Moon, is called the Progenitor of humanity."
It may be recalled that Tacitus refers to a Mannus as being the progenitor of the Germanic peoples in his Germania:"In ancient lays, their only type of historical tradition, they celebrate Tuisto, a god brought forth from the earth. They attribute to him a son, Mannus, the source and founder of their people, and to Mannus three sons, from whose names those nearest the Ocean are called Ingvaeones, those in the middle Herminones, and the rest Istvaeones."[Germania 2.2]
These of course are the three great divisions of the ancient Germanic peoples; their division into three being significant and reminiscent of the tripartite Aryan system.
Mannus also has a cognate amongst the Aryan Hindus where he is called Manu and is again regarded as the progenitor of the Aryans.[See The Laws of Manu]. Again from Manu the three Aryan castes have their origins just as Mannus create three Germanic divisions.
I must emphasise that Mannus or Manu is an Aryan progenitor and according to the lore of the ancient Aryan peoples and the teaching of Dr Joerg Lanz von Liebenfels in his Theozoology the other human races are the result of a bastardisation of Aryans[original humans] and other inferior species which brought about the current racial divisions of humanity and will explain both the difference and similarity in DNA.

The Descent of Spirit into Matter and its Subsequent Ascent

In Listian Armanen lore there is the concept of arising to becoming to passing away to new arising which I have discussed before on these blogs. This is a form of reincarnation which is limited to the race, the tribe and the clan which one can find if a careful study of the literature from and about the prechristian Germanic and Celtic peoples is engaged upon.
This concept is discussed in detail in Das Geheimnis der Runen by Guido von List[English translation and introductory and biographical material added by Stephen E. Flowers, PhD in The Secret of the Runes].
This concept was further developed by Karl Maria Wiligut[see Secret King by Stephen E. Flowers, PhD].
His concept is illustrated in the "Irmin-cross" used by Wiligut which shows sprit descending in to matter. This is the vertical movement. The horizontal movement shows the impulse towards form and life. Where these two movements intersect consciousness, form and life arises. This idea is also represented in the Not Rune-the turning of Need.
Aryosophy and Theosophy recognise that the destiny of the Aryan Fifth Root Race is to evolve back into pure spirit. Spirit descends into matter in order to experience, learn and develop and then to return back to pure spirit.
This is the destiny of our race and the individual man-god who is part of that race.

Preparing the Way for the Last Avatar

There is an urgent need for Wodenists to step up our spiritual warfare a notch. Here in England we are beginning to witness a folkish awakening of sorts, ill defined and vague no doubt but an awakening none the less.
Now more than ever we must continue the struggle in spiritual realms. If we do not win the struggle in that realm then any exorteric work and effort will be wasted.
One way in which we can do this is to spiritually charge our many sacred sites up and down the length and breadth of England with Wodenic energy.
Whether these be burial mounds, megaliths, henges, hills, wells, groves or whatever we must charge these sacred centres with avataric energy.
It may be helpful to visualise England as having hundreds of sacred energy points, wheels or chakras. These energy points all connect with what are commonly termed as ley lines. They resemble a web, a web of Wyrd in fact. By charging these sacred centres we are actively engaging in a magical work that can determine the course of events. The Rune Magician engages in Rune magic in order to impose his will upon the natural order. In our case it goes beyond the will of the individual Runester. We are in fact putting into effect the will of the Rune Lord Himself, Woden.
By engaging in this esoteric work we are strengthening the avataric force and preparing the indigenous people of this land spiritually for the coming of the last Avatar.
The exact nature of the rituals to be enacted I will leave to the individual to formulate for his or herself. This is a work that we all can and must participate in.
This work will help the folk to become receptive to Woden.
The use of symbols is highly important. We only have to consider the effect of the general and daily exposure of the masses to the ancient symbols and Runes of the Germanic peoples in 1930s Germany. One sacred symbol is worth a thousand words and we must never forget that. Before we engage the intellect of others we must first work upon their receptivity to the archetypes dwelling in the racial Collective Unconscious which knows only symbols and images not words and linear thinking.
Ancient and sacred symbols such as the Runes, sunwheels and fylfots speak to the Unconscious mind and this in turn will gradually affect the Conscious mind.
A folk is tied to its soil as well as its blood. By awakening the `soil` we will have an effect on the blood, awakening the folk gradually. Once our folk has been roused from its deep and long sleep then woe betide those who have sought to shackle the folk and betray its blood and soil! We can each one of us work to bring about the salvation of our folk from the genocide our enemies have planned for it and create a new Golden Age.

Rune Yoga

The Runes take years of study. It is an unending process but I have come to the firm belief that it is a process that we must engage in on a daily process. The aspiring Rune Master must not only study the Runes and the various futharcs and futhorcs but must internalise the Runes.
This can be achieved by meditation and Rune Yoga. Rune Yoga consists of the bringing together of 4 spirital disciplines: visualisation, correct breathing tecnniques, the vocalisation of runic mantras and the performance of the Rune stave shapes. Daily practice quickly becomes a part of one`s daily routine and the Runester can feel the benefits of this almost straight away in terms of physical fitness, better health, mental calm and internal balance and a closeness with the Germanic Gods and Godesses.
Through the mastering of this spiritual discipline the Rune Master can then begin to almost effortlessly use the Runes not just for dvination but for magical practices.

In addition to daily Rune work we also must not neglect to honour the Gods and Goddeses and keep as a minimum the 8 main festivals of the year which are broadly comparable to those kept within the Celtic tradition. I will discuss these festivals in some detail in a future article.

The Chakras, Wheels or Cauldrons

Within the sacred tantric tradition of the Aryan Hindus there is a body of lore related to the Chakras or psychic centres within the ethereal body of man.
These Chakras, `Wheels` or `Cauldrons` are positioned along a psychic vertical column which represents and is positioned` above and around` the spinal column.
At the bottom of this column lies the Kundalini serpent ready to uncoil itself and rise up the vertical column which Armanists liken to Yggdrasil or Irminsul, the sacred world tree in Germanic mythology.
As the serpent, likened to Nidhogg in Germanic mythology is released it must journey through each of the Chakras in turn. These Chakras are centres of psychic power which are opened by the rising serpent.
The Sahasrara Chakra[Crown Chakra] is situated at the top of the column/tree and represents the crown of the head which governs higher consciousness and the higher self.
The Ajna Chakra[Third Eye Chakra] is situated below the Sahasrara at the brow and represents the Third Eye and pineal gland and governs psychic perception and the higher mind.
The Vishuddha ChakraThroat Chakra] is situated below the Ajna at the throat and neck area and governs intelligence and communication.
The Anahata Chakra[Heart Chakra] is situated below the Vishuddha at the area of the heart and governs love and compassion.
The Manipura Chakra[Solar Plexus Chakra] is situated below the Anahata at the Solar Plexus or navel area and governs anger, ego and the power of assertiveness.
The Swadhistana Chakra[Sacral Chakra] is situated below the Manipura at the sexual organs and governs sexuality.
The Muladhara Chakra[Base or Root Chakra] is situated below the Swadhistana at the bottom of the spinal cord or coccyx and governs the survival instinct.
However Armanists also believe that there are two further Chakras situated above the Sahasrara Chakra which Miguel Serrano in his Nos. Book of the Resurrection calls the Black Hole and the Green Ray Chakras, the Green Ray being the uppermost Chakra.
This also accords with esoteric Wodenist teaching which also leans towards a nine Chakra theory which accords with the nine worlds of Germanic mythology and the nine nights that Woden hung on the world tree Yggdrasil or Irminsul in his quest for wisdom, runic knowledge and initiation.
Woden did not invent the Runes: he discovered them and gave them to his followers as a means of obtaining esoteric and self knowledge.
Serrano`s book deserves close study for it is a poetic and esoteric journey through the Chakras which he renames according to geographical locations along his native Chilean Andes mountain range.

Sig heil, the Aryan Greeting

Amongst the ancient Teutons it was customary to greet a fellow Teuton with the term `Heil!` or `Hail!` Indeed not only the Teutons but other Aryan peoples followed a similar custom. Often a stretched arm salute accompanied the verbal greeting.
`Heil` is related to the modern English word `whole` as in a `whole` person, someone who is mentally, physically and spiritually in balance. Whilst I am aware that this custom was politicised during the Third Reich it is nevertheless an ancient custom amongst our people.
The ancient Anglo-Saxons used the term `waes thu hael` which was contracted to `wassail` and also used as a drinking toast during their feasts. It survives unto this very day.
Often other words were linked together with `heil` such as `Sig`[cognate with the modern German `Sieg` meaning `victory`]-`Sig heil`[Sieg heil!]. Sig is also the name of an Armanen rune with the equivalents of `Sigel` in the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc, `Sowulu` or `Sowilo` in the Elder Futharc, `Sol` in the Younger Futhorc and `Sauil` or `Sugil` in the Gothic runes.
The rune signifies victory, the power of the sun, the Goddess of the sun[Sol] or the "light of consciousness"[Runelore, Edred Thorsson].
Interestingly the swastika, the holiest sign of our people consists of 2 Sig runes, the Black Sun[Schwarze Sonne] consists of 12 such runes and may refer to the 12 zodiacal signs.
The Aryan salute or Der Deutsche Gruss often accompanied the verbal greeting and bears a similarity with the Armanen Ka/Kaun rune posture.
The "world-tree" Yggdrasill serves in the narrower sense as the Aryan tribal tree, beside which the tribal trees of foreign races are seen as "foreign trees". The runic concept "kaun", "kunna"[maid, eg., in [the name] Adelgunde] demonstrates the feminine principle in the All in a purely sexual sense. The tribe, the race, is to be purely preserved; it may not be defiled by the roots of the foreign tree. If it were nevertheless to happen, however, such would be of little use to the "foreign trees", because its "foreign scion" would grow to become its raging foe. Therefore: "Your blood, your highest possession." [Guido von List, Das Geheimnis der Runen]
The Ka or Kaun rune has an association with fire, especially with the fire of creation and thus is conceptually linked with the Sig rune.
In performing the asana for this rune the practitioner is drawing down solar energy within himself.
Regarding the Sig rune Guido von List states "Sal and sig!"-sal-vation and victory-[Heil und Sieg]. This millennia- old Aryan greeting and battle-cry is also again found in a variant form in the widespread call of inspiration: "alaf sal fena!" * This has become symbolized by the eleventh sign of the futharkh as the sig-rune[victory-rune]: "The creative spirit must conquer!"

Karl Maria Willigut states: "In the Al Gotos ` fire of spirit in matter demonstrates-
Through Energy the "sig-sal-sol-sun-rune",
and mastery of creation..."

The Esoteric Meaning of Yule

It is recognised of course that Yule is an ancient pre-christian festival honoured by the ancient Teutonic peoples with cognate festivals amongst the other Aryan peoples.
This festival as with the other great festivals of the Teutons the christian church could not obiterate but hijacked and renamed `Christmas` and it is generally known by that term amongst the masses today who by and large never question the hybrid nature of the festival.
However even fewer understand the esoteric interpretation of Yule and it is the esoteric rather than the exoteric that we concern ourselves with here.
Traditionally Yule begins on the evening before the winter solstice, on Modraniht, the night of the mothers[2oth December]. Rudolf Simek in his Dictionary of Northern Mythoogy states "The Modraniht as a Germanic sacrificial festival should be associated with the Matron cult of the West Germanic peoples on the one hand and the disablot and Disting already known from medieval Scandinavian on the other hand and is chronologically to be seen as a connecting link between these Germanic forms of cult."
Simek also goes on to state that it was Odin rather than the Vanir Gods[as commonly supposed] that were venerated at Yule, drawing a link between one of Odin`s names, Jolnir and Jol[Norse term for Yule]. Yule is associated also with Odin`s Wild Hunt throughout all the Teutonic lands.
He concludes by stating "The etymology of the name of the Yule feast[ON Jol, Anglo-Saxon geohol, gehol] and the winter month;Anglo-Saxon giuli, geola, Gothic fruma jiuleis, ON ylir] has not been explained competely, but a derivation from `magic` `feast of entreaty` or similar ideas would be conceivable[Meringer].
The first day of Yule, 21st December coincides with the winter solstice when the amount of light is equal to the amount of darkness and thus represents a balance between light and darkness.
This brings to mind the divine brothers, Hodr and Baldr, the blind Hodr being a God of darkness and Baldr a God of light. Hodr slays[unwittingly according to some sources, wittingly according to others] his brother Baldr and thus precipitates Ragnarok. Prior to the death of Baldr there was harmony[according to most sources] between the two brothers. Baldr`s violent death caused a disruption in the natural and divine orders which can only be rectified by Ragnarok.
After Ragnarok both brothers are released from hel and reign with 5 other Gods, Vidar and Vali[the wons of Odin] and Magni and Modi[sons of Thor] and Hoenir over a new earth and a new cosmic order. With the reunification of these two Gods light and darkness have returned to their former state of balance and harmony.
There is a clear lesson in this for the Armanist spiritual warrior of today, that we must within ourselves achieve and maintain this inner harmony between light and darkness in order that we may function effectively and achieve our Godlike inheritance now and in the cycles of arising yet to come.

The Helm of Awe[Aegishjalmur]

One of the most powerful magical signs in the arsenal of the Rune Master is the Aegishjalmur. This sign is also known as the Helm of Awe or Terror. Potentially it can be devised as a very complex sign but basically it is either a four or eight fold equal armed cross with branches at its terminal points.
The Helm of Awe grants its wearer power both of a psychic and of a physical nature over his or her enemies.
According to Dr Stephen Flowers[Edred Thorsson] in The Galdrabok An Icelandic Book of Magic "The aegishjalmur is mentioned in the material concerning Sigurdr Fafnisbani. When Sigurdr slays the great etin-worm, or serpent, named Fafnir in order to win the treasure hoard of the Niflungs[Nibelungen], on of the "objects" of power that he gets is the aegishjalmur. This object is not a "helmet" in the usual sense, but rather a general covering that surrounds the wearer with an overawing power to terrify and subdue his enemies. The power is concentrated between the eyes and is often associated with the supposed power of serpents to paralyse their prey. This is apparently an ancient Indo-European concept, as shown in the etymology of the Greek-the one with the evil eye."
The sign can also be used to attract a mate. According to spell 8 of The Galdrabok after fasting make the sign of awe from spittle in the palm of your right hand when you greet the girl that you have chosen.
In Richard Wagner`s Die Walkure Act One Scene One Hunding notices that both his wife Sieglinde and her future lover Siegmund[twins and parents of Siegfried] have the serpent look in their eyes, a sign of Waelsung or Volsung blood.

"Wie gleicht er dem Weibe!
Der gleissende Wurm
glaentzt auch ihm aus dem Auge."

In the Volsunga Saga Sigurd`s [Siegfried] appearance is described in detail and it has this to say about his eyes: "His eyes flashed so piercingly that few dared look beneath his brow."

Nigel Pennick in his The Complete Illustrated Guide to the Runes informs us that the Helm of Awe is made up of 8 Elhaz runes combined with 24 cross arms that represent the runes of the Elder Futharc.
He states "In ancient Iceland, Helm of Awe amulets were made of lead, the metal ruled by the awesome power of the thunder-god, Thor. When a warrior preparing for combat used the insigil, he pressed a small lead Helm of Awe between his eyes. According to custom this is where the insigil should be worn, in the place where its power is greatest. The warrior then made the affirmation "I bear the Helm of Awe between my brows." Visualising the insigil and feeling its power, he went fearlessly into battle."
Could this be the secret or one of the secrets of the famous Berserker rage?

Wurd the Measurer[All-Raune] and the Sacred 18

WURD THE MEASURER (ALL-RAUNE) AND THE SACRED 18

Thanks to GRM for his scholarly works and fruitful personal discussions over the past year. They have been very helpful in my personal Rune-Armanist Weltanschauung - even if that was far from his intent! Also thanks to Heidrun and to Waldemar - who both encouraged me to put this to paper, even if only in a short article such as this. And of course, thanks to Karl for his translation of Gorsleben - the springboard for many things to come!

All too often in our daily lives, we make things a bit more complicated than they need to be. This is especially true in our religio-magical lives... However, the way that I believe will be perceived as controversial to some, perhaps a bit sacrilegious to others, but it is how I feel fits in best with my personal Weltanschauung and my own definition of Rune-Armanism. That doesn't mean that I am right and others are wrong, for this is merely my opinion - but it's my hope that others who share my point of view will want to explore it further.

We all know that the Germanic folk believed in the Gods and Goddesses of antiquity - Wodan, Thor, Freyja etc. But the Gods and Goddesses hardly completed the ancestors complex picture of things... Complimenting the Gods and Goddesses were two very important concepts known in Old Saxon as "Wurd" and "Metod" - "Fate" and "Time (the Measurer)". United with their Gods and Goddesses, this made up their exoteric religion. However, the Gods and Goddesses were subject to "Wurd" and "Metod" - something proven in the Edda with their demise at Ragnarok.

After Ragnarok, what then is left? "Wurd" and "Metod"... Something that always was and always will be. Something that was there before the Gods and Goddesses of the Germanics, and will be there long after...

In essence, "Wurd" and "Metod" (or "Wurd the Measurer", as I have come to call the concept), is far older than the exoteric Gods and Goddesses of Germania - hence it is the primal (Ur) religion of the Germanic people. It exists in every fiber of their being and will continue to do so, regardless of what religion the pan-Germanic folk delve into, be it Christianity or the re-discovery of the Germanic Folk religion of Wodanism, or the primal religion of the Aryan being that of the Vedas... Wurd the Measurer still reigns supreme. A look at the Germanic veneer on Christianity today confirms the fact that one cannot kill the deep set concept ingrained in the Germanic soul.

Is it a God-concept? Indeed, I think so. How can it not be? Wurd the Measurer controls the cosmic universe - not in the way of an omnipotent "God on a Throne" - but just as the concept suggests in a esoteric way... What is "wurded" (fated) to happen is "measured" to happen in time...

Being a God-concept, for simplicity's sake, what can it be called? Some may say "God" or "All-Fator". Some may say "Arahari" or "Arman". And some may say simply "Wurd The Measurer". Myself, I'd offer the term "All-Raune", the "Murmuring Origin of All that Is" - a Kahlic term that has many other Armanen-Runic connotations, some of which we'll briefly touch on in the next paragraph...

What is the Cosmic Symbol of Wurd the Measurer? I feel it is the World-Crystal, the All-Raune, the Hexagon with the three inscribed diameters, or the Hagall Rune. In this root-design, or Ur-form, you can easily find every Rune. Going back to the previous paragraph and the use of the name "All-Raune", the great Armanen Master, Rudolf John Gorsleben understood the Kahla (Kala) - as the modern-German word "Alraune" is the same as the English word "mandrake" - a plant whose root resembles a human - representative of the Ur-Germanic Human Pair, when thought of as a Man and Yr Rune within the All-Raune! From the middle-point of the All-Raune, rotates ("measures") the Cosmic Axis. This Cosmic Axis is essentially the Is-Rune, acting as a transmitter, sending the signals from the All-Raune, which we receive, as human beings, when we do our Sacred Rune-work, standing in the positions of the Sacred 18 Runes, murmuring their timeless songs and feeling their Ur-vibrations enter our bodies from the Cosmic Is-Axis, direct from the All-Raune.

Illustrating this concept:

Wurd the Measurer is purely a Pan-Indo-European concept with its root deep into the Aryan Vedas. Can it be controlled or changed? Work with your Runes! We all know the answer to that! The important thing to remember here is that just as the Runes are Ur-Primal, so is Wurd the Measurer. They both sprang from the same Cosmic Germanic Root.

But what of the Sacred 18 Runes? Aren't they Wodan's Runes? Indeed, read the Havamal and the 18 Stanzas corroborate this. Who would discount that? But Wodan gained knowledge that existed already - from Mimir's well. It is Ur-Knowledge, those Stanzas. So saying they are "Wodan's" (as I have said many times myself) is really not accurate... In fact, it is wrong. They have been around since the beginning of Time. Wodan taught them to the advanced Castes - think here of the ancient Aryans in India who "received" the Mantras of the Rgveda for a parallel - both were learned by those worthy and capable of understanding them... They sprang from the depths of time - and the concept of Wurd the Measurer (All-Raune) comes up...

So where does this leave us? Frankly, it leaves much room for esoteric exploration as well as exoteric exploration. For many exotericists who felt chained to "having to believe" a certain way, perhaps this will free them up a bit to explore a more simplistic (and indeed more "Ur-Primal") religious Weltanschauung. To the esotericist, the sky is the limit. I can assure you, dear reader, it will be a topic for discussion within the Knights of Runes.

To close this brief article, I simply want to share with you the words of Gorsleben, from "Hoch-Zeit der Menschheit" (as translated by Karl Hans Welz and published by the Knights of Runes), in speaking of the concept of the All-Raune:

With the introduction of Runic knowledge the generation of our days can achieve the control of secret powers within the life of their soul and reach the Spring-Root, which is the Whole of the Runes, the All-Raune, which opens all spiritual treasures to us, if we are Children of the Sunday, Children of the Sun, Children (“Kinder”) of the Ar (Eagle, Sun), announcers (“Künder”) of the Ar, people knowledgeable (“Könner” in modern German) of the Ar, Ar-koner, persons knowledgeable in the Ar-Kana (Arkana = arcane wisdom) or if we strive to become all of the above. The Runes have their own lives, they are true magical signs, from which we can draw the Spirit to Advise and the Courage to Action.

The Swastika

The Swastika is one of the oldest and most sacred of the signs and symbols of the Aryo-Germanic peoples and traces of its use have been discovered throughout the world.
This should not be taken as an indication that it is a universal symbol held in common by all the peoples of the earth as many New Agers seeped in the politically correct mores of the day may assert but rather an indication as to how far and wide the Aryans in particular the Celto-Germanic peoples have wandered in their migrations and quest to discover new lands.
It is an impulse which is deep within the psyche of the Aryan peoples, the need to discover and explore and consequently to bring civilization and high culture to the four ends of the earth.
Thomas Wilson in his groundbreaking and comprehensive work Swastika the Earliest Known Symbol and its Migrations[1894] traces the migration of this symbol throughout Europe, China, Asia, Asia Minor and the Americas although he shies away from drawing any conclusions as to the origins, development and meaning of this symbol.
Max Mueller in "Illios" gives the etymology of Swastika:

"Ethnologically, svastika is derived from svasti, and svasti from su, "well", and as, "to be". Svasti occurs frequently in the Veda, both as a noun in a sense of happiness, and as an adverb in the sense of "well" or "hail!" The derivation Swasti-ka is of later date, and it always means an auspicious sign, such as are found most frequently among Buddhists and Jainas."

In Great Britain the common name for this sign in Anglo-Saxon times was Fylfot which is derived from fower fot meaning four-footed.
Some authors refer to it as Thor`s Hammer.
Wilson has this to say about the symbolism and interpretation of the Swastika:

"Many theories have been presented concerning the symbolism of the Swastika, its relation to ancient deities and its representation of certain qualities. In the estimation of certain writers it has been respectively the emblem of Zeus, of Baal, of the sun, of the sun-god, of the sun-chariot of Agni the fire-god, of Indra the rain-god, of the sky, the sky-god, and finally the deity of all deities, the great God, the Maker and Ruler of the Universe. It has been held to symbolize light or the god of light, of the forked lightning, and of water. It is believed by some to have been the oldest Aryan symbol. It is the estimation of others it represents Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva, Creator, Preserver, Destroyer. It appears in the footprints of Buddha, engraved upon the solid rock on the mountains of India. It stood for the Jupiter Tonans and Pluvius of the Latins, and the Thor of the Scandinavians. In the latter case it has been considered-erroneously, however-a variety of the Thor hammer. In the opinion of at least one author it had an intimate relation to the Lotus sign of Egypt and Persia. Some authors have attributed a phallic meaning to it. Others have recognised it as representing the generative principle of mankind, making it the symbol of the female. Its appearance on the person of certain goddesses, Artemis, Hera, Demeter, Astarte, and the Chaldean Nana, the leaden goddess from Hissarlik, has caused it to be claimed as a sign of fecundity."

It has been conjectured that the Swastika developed from other more basic symbols such as the cross or the triskelion but Wilson goes on to say:

"Mr. R.P. Greg opposes this theory and expresses the opinion that the Swastika is far older and wider spread as a symbol than the triskelion, as well as being a more purely Aryan symbol."

George. W Cox in says The Mythology of the Aryan Nations:

"We recognise the male and female symbol in the trident of Poseidon, and in the fylfot or hammer of Thor, which assumes the form of a cross-pattee in the various legends which turn on the rings of Freya, Holda, Venus, or Aphrodite."

It is speculated that the Swastika has its origin in the use of fire sticks to generate fire in the myth of the Hindu fire god Agni.[Cognate with the Latin ignis, the English word to ignite].

Dr. H. Colley March in his paper Fylfot and the Futhorc Tir theorises that the Swastika has no relation to fire, the act of making fire or the fire god. He believed that it symbolized axial motion and not merely gyration; that it represented the celestial pole, the very axis of the heavens around which the stars revolve.

Wilson states:

"This appearance of rotation is most impressive in the constellation of the Great Bear. About four thousand years ago the apparent pivot of rotation was at Draconis, much nearer the Great Bear than now, and at that time the rapid circular sweep must have been far more striking than at present."

Heinrich Schliemann writing in his Troy and its Remains states:

"All that can be said of the first settlers is that they belonged to the Aryan race, as is sufficiently proved by the Aryan religious symbols met with in the strata of their ruins[among which we find the Suastika], both upon the pieces of pottery and upon the small curious terra-cottas with a hole in the centre, which we have the form of the crater or a volcano or of a carrousel."

In addition to stating "The Swastika is persistently associated with the sacred fire-sticks. Agni was the god of the fire-stick[swastika].
"In Great Britain it was called fylfot from the Anglo-Saxon fower-fot-four footed or many footed." Elizabeth Goldsmith also adds:

"The Druids were said to have shaped their trees in the form of the swastika or fylfot cross."

Lance Severn in his The Swastika: Lost Sign in Freemasonry explored the use of the Swastika in Freemasonry. This should not surprise us as Freemasonry preserves much esoteric Aryan lore which would otherwise have been lost to us.
He refers to JSM Ward`s reference to this symbol in Freemasonry and the Ancient Gods[1921] "In our lodges the Swastika is still remembered, but its presence is disguised."

This brings us to the Master himself Guido von List. Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke in his The Occult Roots of Nazism. Secret Aryan Cults and their Influence on Nazi Ideology refers to a solstice ceremony conducted by von List involving burying 8 wine bottles in the glowing embers of a solstice fire in the form of the Swastika.

Guido von List incorporated the Swastika into his 18 rune Armanen Futhorc as his 18th rune Gibor which is a development of the Swastika in form but whose meaning equates to that of the Gebo rune in the Common Germanic Futharc. He shows the fylfot as an alternative to the Gibor stave in his Das Geheimnis der Runen[The Secret of the Runes].

"However, certainly worthy of note is the fact that the eighteenth rune which is actually present is a-doubtlessly intentionally incomplete-fyrfos, and that it harkens back to this sign in both name and meaning-without, nevertheless, exhausting it. In this the intention of the skalds to guard vigilantly the fyrfos as their exclusive innermost secret, and as the sigil of that secret, can be seen. Only after yielding to certain pressures did they reveal another sign which partially replaced the fyrfos."

From the period of the adoption of the Swastika or Hakenkreuz by the National Socialist German Workers` Party this most holy Aryan sign became associated with a political movement, National Socialism.

"And a symbol it really is! Not only that the unique colours, which all of us so passionately love and which once won so much honour for the German people, attest our veneration for the past; they were also the embodiment of the movement`s will. As National Socialists, we see our programme in our flag. In red we see the social idea of the movement, in white the nationalistic idea, in the swastika the mission of the struggle for the victory of the Aryan man......"

The Black Sun

What is the Black Sun[Schwarze Sonne]? What is its meaning? From where does this concept originate?

The Black Sun consists of a sunwheel with12 Sig or Sol runes radiating around a disc, thus forming 3 swastikas. This symbol may still be found today in the marble floor of Himmler`s SS Order castle at Wewelsburg near Paderborn, acquired by Himmler in 1934 and subsequently rebuilt and expanded between 1936-1942.
The castle was intended by Himmler to be the spiritual centre of the Aryan world.

It has been suggested that the Black Sun represents the visible sun on its passage through the 12 months of year and derives from the decorative discs of the Merovingians[Goodrick-Clark].
In Wewelsburg however the `Black` Sun is a mottled green pattern.

There have been many tales of this symbol being seen on German aircraft in the Polar region at the end of WWII. According to the Chiliean mystic Miguel Serrano the gods dwell at a remote part of the galaxy which is illuminated by the Black Sun which lies beyond our golden sun and is invisible from the earth. However anyone familiar with Serrano`s teaching will realise that he often speaks symbolically and with a heavy use of metaphor. At times he indicates that the Black Sun is beyond time and space as we know it. He speculates that it is located in a non-existent universe, in the `Green Ray`. The gods are in possession of Vril and the use of the Third Eye and the light of the Black Sun courses through their bodies.
These gods are the divine ancestors of the Hyperborean Nordic Aryan race on earth.[Serrano, Adolf Hitler]

It is in my opinion no coincidence that Aryan man from the beginning of recorded history has exhibited a strong urge to explore and possesses a pioneering spirit that has forged empires and nations. In the 20th century this led to the beginning of man`s exploration of outer space. It would seem that it his strange and peculiar destiny to return to the stars, maybe to return to his former home beyond the Black Sun.

It is no coincidence either that the Black Sun consists of 3 swastikas and 12 Sig or Sol runes. The swastika, fylfot, Hakenkreuz or Thor`s Hammer is one of the most sacred symbols of Aryan humanity. The number 3 corresponds to the triune-trifidic-triad representation of deity and the dynamics of existence-Arising-Becoming-Passing Away to New Arising.
12 is an exceedingly sacred number in Aryo-Germanic lore and is reprsentative of the 12 holiest Germanic gods, the 12 months of the year and 12 houses of the zodiac, etc.

The Sig or Sol rune itself is the rune of victory.

Sol, sal, sul, sig, sigi, sun, sal-vation, victory[Sieg], column[Sauele], school, etc. An eleventh still I also know in the fight,when I lead the dear one: I sing it into the shield and he is victorious in battle he fares hale hither and hale home againhe remains hale everywhere. "Sal and sig!"-sal-vation and victory-[Heil und Sieg]. This millenia-old Aryan greeting and battle-cry is also again found in a variant form in the wide-spread call of inspiration: "alaf sal fena!" Thule and the Aryan Race

"Then something happened. No one knows whether a moon fell onto the earth or what other disaster took place, but the giants were forced to disappear or hide in the mountains. To this day they wait there for the return of the old sun that warmed the world they knew.

These arctic creatures were clairvoyant. They wore moonstones as a sign of their power and emeralds in honour of Venus. Many Germans in the entire German area of central Europe and descendants of German colonists in all areas of the world continue to reveal an apparent inexplicable trust in the cosmos, coupled with a puzzling wistfullness and a burning yearning, the insatiable longing to leave this earth in order to return home to the cosmic distant shores of a paradisical original homeland. It is not longing for the next world alone, not merely the knowledge of the divine original homeworld of the eternal light, in which we were all once born, long before there was this cosmos. It is yet something else-if we look up to the nightly starry sky and immediately feel physically homesick for the stars. Many a one has already experienced in indelibly arresting coloured dreams: "Extraterrestrial Encounters", for instance the contact with "Flying Saucers" and their pilots. And we remember what real dreams are: If the spirit in desire to be released from the coarse material body goes wandering and according to the law of affinity of vibrations, visits a different one.[Saj.4]. So can dreams be more that froth, real events, to share with another, which our spirit visits. And for the spirit there are no spacial or temporaral boundaries.
As it is said in the Rg-Veda, the oldest received Aryan writings: "The spirit is the quickest of all that flies!" And to the highest developed spirit it is possible, to bridge in a moment every distance wandered.

So for example the first undersigned author already dreamed many years ago, when he was still grown out of children`s shoes, of really being in the vicinity of a "UFO" and its pilots. When about 30 years later he held photos for the first time of a VRIL-1, built in the second world war he determined astonishingly, that it was precisely the same as the "dream-UFO"!

How many things are indeed between heaven and earth, which on first sight may appear incomprehensible-and indeed are so real! And those people who want to shove everything of mine into the realm of fantasy are not realists, but they are realists who on the grounds of higher knowledge recognise and understand that there is a higher reality, which sets the true measure of things. Many people of the earthly white race know that "cosmic wanderlust" of which we speak. Are there possibly traces of atrophied abilities of the legendary "white godmen" who were once our ancestors? They are the deeprooted remnants of a primeval memory which the majority are no longer able to categorise, whose significance however they understand whose spirit thanks to its free vibration on the basis of world view and world knowledge wins back little by little the ancient-eternal youth. And for the entire national community to achieve such as this must be understood as a central element of the Thule idea. The higher development of humanity in spirit and in body is the natural endeavour. It is the desire for closeness to God-to become God as perhaps our earliest founders of culture were: the "Aldebaraners."

As the sun Aldebaran which is approximately 68 light years distant from our earth began to expand about 500 million years ago, in order to gradually become a red giant sun, the Aldebaran super civilization of the "white godmen" will have been forced to resort to effective measures for the continuing existence of their race. What is for us these days an uninmaginably highly developed technology would have been capable of coping with the difficulties. And in fact on the one hand through the transfer of the home planet on to a different orbit-through which the circumstances for life remain bearable-,and on the other hand through the colonisation of inhabitable planets in another solar system-which was made possible with the construction of enormous spaceships.

With reconnaisance expeditions around 500 million years ago the Aldebaraners of that time had landed on the still prehistoric earth of the Cambrian period in an earth age in which the primeval oceans and other waters appeared to be still very untouched by life. We have a clear trace of this successful visit of around 500 million years ago, a trace in the literal sense: the 500 million years old fossilised shoe imprint, together with a trilobite, a primeval crab, a so-called index fossil, because the trilobites died out about 400 million years ago. This is the oldest discovered fossilised shoe imprint, however in no way the only one: there are others 200 million years older, over 60 million years old from the end of the Cretaceous period and the dinosaur age, others are only 15 million years old. Today`s science ignores these finds, or that is to say it has "still not classified" them, because they would otherwise destroy their artificially constructed conception of the world. That this in spite of everything could be approached was even conceded at the Congress of Evolutionary Researchers in1989, a few of them openly expressed that their current science stood on shaky ground and was supported by purely "assumed knowledge".

Therefore if we may be so bold, to act prematurely and accept: the Aldebaraners could already 500 million years ago have set down on the earth for the first time and perhaps first of all have set up a few bases here. Possibly at that time they still did not know for sure whether they would succeed in keeping their homeplanets in the Aldebaran solar system habitable and wanted to secure other possibilities. The legendary earthly primeval civilzations which we call Thule, Atlantis, Mu and Lemuria-in vague memory of traditions from the earliest time may have developed from the Aldebaran bases. Because the Aldebaraners nevertheless succeeded to save their home planets they would not have carried on any extensive colonisation on the earth. In the course of the millenia they have possibly closed down again their bases, and only a few Aldebaraners who have found a new home on the earth remained there. Finally also in the end they founded the surviving culture of Mesopotamia. That is shown by the name SUMI, SUMERIAN, the Aldebaraners call their sun Sumi and their kingdom SUMERAN.
Sumerians and ancient Germanics could therefore indeed have been the immediate descendants of the "Aldebaraners"-which grants us again an insight into the deeper sense of the "racial ideology" of the Thule Society: Only those who stand on the high level of development of the Aldebaraners can be worthy partners of them, partners in the approaching new age for the setting up of an extensive interstellar high civilization.-To that belongs not finally the spiritual capacity, the significance of eternal life and to understand the interweaving of this side and the other side, the capability to think and feel spiritually instead of materially. It is the recognition of the higher cosmic strength and responsibility of human nature.

And yet a look at this place will not be left out! A few years ago a thousand year old rock painting was found in Ohma near Fargana in Usbekistan which shows a human form which reminded one of a spacetraveller-and a spaceflight disc which is amazingly like a VRIL-1.
Did the VRIL-flying bodies really come into being through mediumistic descriptions of their construction from Aldebaran to Germany? Or is it really a German spaceship-if not more likely it succeeded in reaching the distant past through an unintentionally constructed space-time-hole?-Perhaps, if one develops these thoughts further, one must then speak of the Aldebaraners not being the ancestors of the Teutons-but rather the Germans the ancestors of the Aldebaraners?-

Much is possible-nothing in any of that is impossible!

What is valid to say in order to close this book is therefore above all this: The people of the Thule-and Vril-Society persued uncommon goals, especially goals of a spiritual as much as material scope which the small intellect may hardly be capable of appreciating. Intercosmic consciousness-VRIL-Spirit-is the highest stage of development of the human spirit in this life. Who has once grasped it is permamently filled with it, he has become "Vril".

A trace of the idea and of the knowledge of VRIL-consciousness is to be found, albeit in an atrophied form in the Aryan-Vedic religion, culminating in the Bhagavad Gita and the teaching of "Krishna-consciousness". And both of these conceptions cannot be compared with one another.
The basis of relationship nevertheless shows, that in past times long ago of earth history the religion of VRIL may already once have predominated; in an age, which must still have been placed before the revelation of the ILU-teaching, because the ILU-revelations tell us indeed everything about the knowledge of the perfect, eternal divine truth, giving us no immediate guidance however as to the winning of ILU-consciousness, as the VRIL-consciousness can indeed also be called.
It may therefore be, that there are lost pre-vedic writings in the Aryan living space, in which the perfect knowledge together with the knowledge of the perfect way has already been once set down-possibly thanks to the Aldebaran ancients, perhaps however also of independant origin.

VRIL-consciousness is different from all other religious forms because it grows out of a combination of knowledge and BELIEF and leads to certainty of belief. VRIL-consciousness can only be developed there where there is concrete knowledge given over the history of the universe, the stars, the cosmos on this side and the cosmos on the other side with its other side worlds . VRIL-consciousness is the omnipresent knowledge about all of the this side and other side connections in combination with perfect divine knowledge-and both these planes necessitate one another.

Thus is the VRIL-consciousness inseperably connected with concrete, tangible knowledge of the cosmic and intercosmic facts and interrelations. The VRIL-conscious man lives in spiritual attachment with all beings of his race. In him rules the expanse of the world this side as well as the other side: for him there are no secrets. He knows that there are brothers and sisters many light years distant, who stand closer to him than numerous earth peoples. He knows that the purity of inherited nature denotes the key to the common ground with the origin and the nameless security of the original homeland. The VRIL-conscious man is truly "universal", he stands on the highest level. And lies in the nature of things, that only those can become and be "vril", who stand in direct inheritance to the godmen. Only such a spirit may acquire it.

Thus is THE VRIL the religion of the superior man, the spiritual overmen, those, who may perceive the great whole-because they are a part of it. All knowledge of the world this side of life, all knowledge also of the other side, the eternal life after earthly death, knowledge of the great tasks, which comes first behind the threshold of earthly death, the all-embracing superiority-that is VRIL.

The person in Vril stands thus above all things.

Reincarnation and time according to Guido von List

In Listian teaching Germanic time was not a simple matter of past, present and future. Our ancestors did not think in such simplistic terms and linear time was not an Aryo-Germanic concept.
Today many of us are used to thinking in linear time but this is no doubt a left-over from our unfortunate enforced xtianisation.
As anyone who has studied the bible will be aware the semites in general and the jews in particular do think in linear time and frame their prophecies in this way.
In contrast according to the most ancient sacred texts of the Aryan peoples Aryan man conceived of time as being a progression of cycles, not in the sense of going round in a circle for things and events to repeat themselves incessantly but as a series of cycles moving forward like the waves on the ocean, moving forward rather than round and round.
According to the works and teaching of Guido von List man repeatedly incarnates. There is nothing new in this doctrine for this was a well known teaching in the ancient Aryan world both in the East and the West but what makes his teaching slightly different is his use of cyclical time within this concept,ie

This formula can be applied to not only humanity but the entire organic world. All creatures, all things animate and inanimate go through this tripartite process.

Urd Verdandi Skuld

Urd=Became, Verdandi=Becoming, Skuld=Blame[result of Karma or to use the Listian term, Garma].

Germanic time is not to be viewed as static but a process of becoming. Significantly the German verb werden is used-to become rather than sein-to be. Life is dynamic and the only constant is change. The whole process of Entstehen>Werden/Wandeln>Vergehen zum Neuerstehen through countless incarnations represents a single day of Brahma.

The German verb werden[to become] is used rathen than sein[to be] because it conveys the feeling of continuing change and evolution. This continuing change, development and evolution is to be strived for in a progressive sense. Our aim in essence is to rediscover the" lost master word":
"Dieser Name wird als das `verlorene Meisterwort`, der `verlorene Name` in den Mysterien bezeichnet, das der Meister suchen soll, denn dieser Name gaebe ihm alle Macht und Kraft der Gottheit selbst."
"This name is described as the `lost masterword`, the `lost name` in the mysteries, that the master should seek, because this name would give him all power and strength of godhood itself."

In other words we are to rediscover the key to our own divinity, to realise the god within, that we are god-in the making or becoming.

The tripartite formula generally is to be discovered in many aspects of the pre-xtian Indo-European world, in the caste systems of the Indo-Europeans and even in the ancient triune respresentation of deity which undoubtedly was plagiarised by the xtian church.
This tripartition is expressed by von List as dreieinig-dreispaeltige Dreiheit or the trifidic-triune triad as translated by Dr Stephen Flowers[Edred Thorsson] in The Secret of the Runes[Das Geheimnis der Runen].

It has been said that, behind all life and form, as their heart and soul, is a great Consciousness. This Consciousness is constantly evolving, constantly growing. This consciousness, this evolving, manifests itself in many ways.

The history of mankind is the history of a parade of races, one appearing after another, in succession yet over-lapping in their time-frames. Many years ago, the first race of humans appeared on Earth.

The chart lists three root-races, and titles them Lemurian (third root-race), Atlantean (fourth root-race), and Aryan (fifth root-race). Theosophy teaches that humanity passes through seven root-races. The first two root-races have disappeard from the Earth, people are presently incarnating in bodies of the third, fourth, and fifth root-races, the sixth root-race will appear later, and the seventh root-race will be the last root-race, marking the end of the human race upon the Earth.

This, then, is the scheduled span of time for the human race on the Earth. A specific amount of time has been alloted for the seven root-races. At the end of the seventh root-race, much of humanity will have entered Nirvana.

At that time, the various life-waves on Earth will be shifted to another planet, our present-day animals will become the next planet's humans, our present-day plants will become the next planet's animals, etc.

First Race

“The first [root-race is] given no specific name, but it inhabited the ‘Imperishable Sacred Land,’ about which there is little information. It was a continent that lay in a quarter of the globe where the climate was suited to the forms of life then prevalent. At the end of its long history it was sunk by great cataclysms beneath the ocean. Men in this race were boneless, their bodies plastic; in fact ‘organisms without organs.’

Second Race

“In due time the second great continent appeared, to be the home of the Second Race, the Hyperboreans. This, we are told, lay around the present region of the North Pole. But the climate then was equable and even tropical, owing to the position of the earth’s axis, which was then at a quite decided angle of divergence from the present inclination. The author claims that the axis had twice shifted radically; that Greenland once had a torrid climate and luxuriant vegetation. Spitzbergen and Nova Zembla are mentioned as remnants of the Hyperborean Land.

Third Race

“The Third Race was the Lemurian [Negroid], and it occupied a vast continent extending south from the Gobi Desert and filling the area of the Indian Ocean, west to Madagascar and east to New Zealand. Madame Blavatsky gives its boundaries with considerable explicitness. Australia is one of its remnants and the much-discussed Easter Island another. Some of the Australian aborigines, some races in China, and some islanders, are lingering descendants of the Lemurians. It was destroyed mainly by fire, and eventually submerged.

Fourth Race

“As it sank its successor arose in the Atlantic Ocean and became the seat of Fourth Race [Oriental] civilization. This is the fabled Atlantis, to which Plato and the ancient writers have alluded, the existence of which Madame Blavatsky says was a general tradition among the early nations.22 The Azores, Cape Verde, Canary Islands and Teneriffe are the highest peaks of the alleged Atlantean Land. The Fourth Race flourished there some 850,000 years ago, though the last portion, the island of Poseidonis, north of the Sahara region, carried the surviving remnant of the race to a watery doom only eleven thousand years ago. This final cataclysm became the basis of the world-wide deluge myth. The later Lemurians and the Atlanteans were men like the present humanity, fully compounded of mind, body, and spirit or soul. They had reached in some lines (the mechanical and the psycho-spiritual) a development far higher than our own, wielding psychic forces with which we are not generally familiar and having, beside airships, a more ready method of tapping electric and super-electric forces. In the early centuries of the race's history its members were gigantic in stature, and Madame Blavatsky uses this assertion to explain the historical riddle of the erection of the Druidical temples, the pyramids, and other colossal forms of their architecture.

“It must be understood that the races overlapped in temporal history, the former ones being progenitors of their successors. Nature never makes sudden leaps over unbridged gaps. Her progressions are gradual. Many circum-Mediterranean nations were descendants of the Atlanteans, and a few degenerate Lemurian stocks yet linger on. Nor were their several continents annihilated at one stroke. Portions of the old lands remained long after the new ones had risen from the waters. This permitted migrations and the continuity of propagation. The races were in no sense special creations, but attained distinct differentiations through the modifying influences of time and environment. The Atlanteans permitted their ego-centric development to outstrip their spiritual progress, fell into dangerous practices of sorcery and magic, and through the operation of karmic law their civilization had to be blotted out, so that a more normal evolution of the Egos involved could be initiated under new conditions in succeeding races.

Karl Spiesberger is probably the best known post World War II revivalist of the mystical Germanic runes, runic magic and ‘sidereal pendulum' in the German speaking world. Although, thankfully, a couple of his respected works have been translated into English.

Spiesberger was a proponent of the Armanen Futharkh, the 'Sacred Eighteen' rune row, which was originally revealed to us by Guido von List developed further magically in a written format by Siegfried Adolf Kummer.

Due to the National Socialist suppression and imprisonment of "non-authorised" or "non-officially sanctioned" occulitic/runic Germanic revivalists and their respective organisations during the Third Reich (thus the ridiculous "guilt by association" view of the mystico-magical and Nazism. This view has spawned equally ridiculous "hate laws" in certain countries in the using the runes and certain ancient and sacral symbols). Since 1945 they had become virtually driven underground, however, post 1945 the Armanen Futharkh and Germanic spiritualism was revived to a large extent by Spiesberger and by 1955 the Armanen runic system had once more become very much traditional in German speaking circles as it was before the war.

Spiesberger was, openly, an initiate of the magical order known as the 'Fraternitas Saturni' or ‘Brotherhood of Saturn'. This magical lodge was/is (see Fire and Ice 1994) the most prestigious, prominent and influential magical order of German occultism. With the 'Fraternitas Saturni', Spiesberger used the pseudo-magical name of Frater Eratus.

Spiesberger's written works, it has been noted, represent a mystically spiritual amalgamation of ‘Saturni gnosis and Listian Armanism', and as it is with many author's of mystico-magical esotericism he presents a combination of the ancient mystico with his own original magical innovation. But it must be remembered that he, to some extent, drew from the eclectic teaching of the 'Fraternitas Saturni'. And, as Thorsson notes, in Spiesberger's texts “he synthesizes the works of the many German runic magicians and experts who preceded him. Spiesberger accomplished this within a ‘pansophical framework.' Although, after all, Spiesberger was a ‘widely qualified "eclectic" occultist who had authored many occult texts, both Hermetic and Runic.'

Within the 'Fraternitas Saturni' and forwarded exclusively under Frater Eratus, runecraft has always been utilised within the 'Fraternitas Saturni's' magical curriculum.

Both List and Friedrich Bernhard Marby and also Kummer actually, were all ardent practitioners of the Armanen Futharkh whom saw the runic ‘scriptures' as the ‘key to esoteric understanding. However, Spiesberger saw them entirely differently. Spiesberger sdaw the Runes as ‘ just one more tool to be used by an individual magician. '

In 1955 he produced his groundbreaking work, " Runenmagie " (Rune Magic).

Marby developed the system of Runic Gymnastics or Runengymnastik. Runic gymnastics 'probably dates back to magical postures and gestures of the indo-Europeans and even in Scandinavia today it is still a folk custom to teach the alphabet to school children by having them strike poses imitative of the shapes of the letters whilst making the sound each represents.' Although, Marby never, during his esoteric magical calling, actually definitavely formalation his runic gymnastic/yoga system. Because of this much of his work "often seems uneven and incomplete."

Later in the 1930's, regarding Runic gynmastics/yoga, Kummer, to a degree, utilized Marby's technique and published a fully workable system and because of this Kummer is seen today better known for Runic Yoga (Runenyoga as he called it) than Marby. This kind of magic was further systematised in the works of Spiesberger. Most notibly in his 1958 Runenexerzitien fur Jedermann (Rune Exercieses for Everyone)

Spiesberger was also a highly respected advocate of 'Sidereal Pendulum' dowsing and revived this magical system as well as much of the old works on the subjects after world war 2 as he did with the runes. His most notible work on this subject is entitled 'Der erfolgreiche Pendel-Praktiker.' And was published in 1963. Although still far more easily available in it's original German text it is now sadly in it's 1989 English translation. Entitled 'Reveal the Power of the Pendulum: Secrets of the Sidereal Pendulum, A Complete Survey of Pendulum Dowsing, ISBN: 0-572-01419-8, it was published in England 'W. Foulsham & Company Limited.'

As stated, Spiesberger is highly respected in this field as with the runic revival and this work, the English translation of Der erfolgreiche Pendel-Praktiker. is seen by many as the ultimate work on the subject of which there is little if any rival. In it the works of other respected pendulum dowsers in Germany are drawn upon and objectively compiled. These include those such as A. Frank Glahn, Vockler, Dr. K.E. Weiss and Dr. E. Clasen, L. Straniak, Reichenbach, Professor Karl Bahr, Friedrich Kallenberg, and more.

There are some however that undeservidly eschew his work because he 'steered clear' of the more volkish aspects of the older esoteric magicians that preceeded him. However, it must be noted that this is a rather small-minded view to take. Spiesberger, on the other hand, is noted by many in his landmark ' Runenmagie ' for keeping alive the pioneering works of such notibles as Guido von List, Rudolf John Gorsleben, Peryt Shou, Friedrich Bernhard Marby and Siegfried Adolf Kummer. He, on top of this, greatly influenced the widely read works of Thorsson of whom without we would not have the resurgence of runic lore that we have today, those of both the English and German language – his book ‘Futhark' “owes much to his research…“

The Bock Saga

The Sa-Ga is a history and mystery so huge it defies description. To date, Ior Bock has released information about four major periods in Earth's history. These periods are Paradise time, Atlantis, the time following Atlantis and the New Times. All of this knowledge is known as the Väinämöinen Mythology.

According to the Sa-Ga's history of human evolution, which dates to the first seeds of life on this Earth, the seeds grew and evolved to a point where eels formed. Eels then gave rise to frogs, which eventually evolved, into monkeys. At some point, the genetics of the monkey and the goat (the symbol of Bock) were combined to create the first two humans, "Frej "and "Freja". The Sa-Ga does not say who was responsible for these genetic manipulations.

This occurred at the exact North Pole around which the sun circled and never set. Surrounding the Pole was a land that became the Motherland known as Odenma, Uudenmaa. At its centre was Hel, meaning clear, home and complete. The humans were known as pi-pol. people and all knowledge could be understood within the pol and ring. It is significant to note that mathematics is based on 0 and 1, a pole and a ring. Uudenmaa, the garden of Ooden, which later became known as Eden, is now in Southern Finland and was a tropical paradise and the home of the first people known as the Aser. Ringlands were created outside of Uudenmaa and within each ringland the breeding system was put in place. The people that lived outside of Uudenmaa were known as the Vaner people who had the Van (means "one") language.

Within the Kela of sounds, which make up the Rot language was the knowledge of how to be one with nature and our plan-et, plan means plan and et means family, family plan to create wholeness. Men and Women were equal. The man had his-story (history) and the female her miss story (mystery). Both understood the knowledge of how the light of the Sun enables all things to grow and is everything, known as Oden. Ooden also represents the knowledge of the Court of Aser. One Ring, whole and complete, one giving, breeding system, Ye-hov-a " give to the Court of Aser" was in Uudenmaa with Hel at its centre. With this knowledge and its proper utilisation, the Aser was considered healthy whole and complete. This was eventually changed to Jehovah. God (good) within became "God in Heaven." Through Christian times the Heathen system, and all it represented, was hunted down, destroyed and removed.

Eventually the female was excluded from this new system because much of her mystery (miss-story) became ta-boo (taboo). Ta is to give (germinate the seed) which is feminine, b is borg, meaning cast-el, (castle) the breeding system and oo is Oden the Sun and knowledge to make things grow healthy. Shiva is the Sun and moon once a month, knowledge of the Moon and monthly cycles. The respect and sharing of male and female essence sperma and sav was regarded as whol-i (holy) and created the i-moo-en system meaning in the mouth, creating a healthy and whole immune system. Then the respect and sharing of sperma and sav became taboo, in other words restricted and forbidden. Men could no longer understand the history and mystery to assimilate the seed of knowledge, did not follow the breeding system and create wholeness with Ooden. Prior to this time it was the female's right to choose when to be a mother by way of the dream of Lucia. This happened on the 13th of December, Lucia day.

The 24th December was Fest-i-val (festival) day when the Disa's (stem mothers) were impregnated by Lemminkäinen inside Odenma. On this day the coming fathers stood on ped-i-stals (pedestal) naked whith standing pricks so that the self-chosen mothers could look their 'sweet hearts' in the eye and choose that one they like. The 25th December was Jule Tide, the birthday of the Sun (not the Sun of God). On the 26th of December the men chosen on Festival day had to pass physical tests to prove their fitness to be a father. This day was known as Bock-sing day, now called Boxing Day. Throughout the corruption of Christian times, the original meanings of the language and their importance were changed, lost or contaminated. Consequently, the female was denied her natural worth and equality. Instead of sperma and sav being honoured it became ill-used and wasted.

The Folk Faith is just that–a folk religion. It is a religion rooted in the ancestral past of the European people. All Europeans, even those who do not speak an Indo-European language, are of the same gene pool, rooted in the same history, culture, and share the same spiritual and religious ethos. The Folk Faith is a spiritual doctrine that speaks to the collective soul of the European Folk, who are united in a genetic union, whose existence has been confirmed by recent research in the human geno. Genetic research has shown that humanity is divided along racial lines, even though every research project has to engage in a hypocritical mantra claiming that there are no differences, only to publish a thousand-page report proving the exact opposite, to appease the Inquisitors of political correctness.

The Gods of the Folk Faith are described in the Norse tradition, relying on the Norse myths and names, but in reality, they are the same Gods of all Indo-European religions. In fact, all Indo-European pagan religions are descended from the same, original religion that was worshiped by the ancient Aryans, who lived along the now submerged shores of the Black Sea, some eight thousand years ago. After their civilization, which is the foundation for the Atlantis legend, was destroyed, those who survived were scattered across Eurasia. As these tribes scattered, they lost contact with each other and slowly, their language evolved into the different Indo-European languages. The same happened to their religion. As they settled in different lands, with different climates, the tales of their Gods changed, reflecting the many various climates that they settled.

These Indo-Europeans took with them, the secret doctrine of their civilization, which was the knowledge of how to use the power of the Vril to make themselves master of their environment. The foundation of the Indo-European religions is simple–that the Gods walked upon the earth and mixed their Life Force with those of the proto-humans that existed, causing mutations to result and thus speeding up the evolutionary process. Thus, in this way, the European, or Caucasian Race, was born. Not all Caucasians were part of the ancient Aryan civilization. This civilization was created by that group of Caucasians who had discovered the secret of the Vril, thus transforming themselves into God-men. After their civilization was destroyed, they settled among the different peoples that inhabited Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Many came in great numbers and merged with the people they found, while others settled in uninhabited regions, creating new civilizations, while others still, were a small minority and soon disappeared into the native population. Bot in all cases, the memory of their coming survived in myth and legend, and something of the Vril knowledge that they brought with them, was retained.

Today, we of the Folk Faith seek to rediscover that lost knowledge–Vril Science. We hope to reforge the lost bonds with those Gods who gave birth to us. But many have asked–what about other Folks or races? Is the Vril Science restricted only to people of European descent? Are the other races and nations of humans inferior in some way to Europeans? Do we consider ourselves superior and everyone else inferior? It is important that we address these questions, especially in the politically correct-charged world that we live in today.

Our Folk Faith can be described as part of a greater pagan revival movement known as Odinism or Asatru. This movement has been splintered into several groups. One group occupies the political left and has a political agenda that includes most of the "isms" of the political left–feminism, the homosexualism, multiculturalism, etc . . . They consider themselves part of a universalist movement in which all Gods are just interpretations of a great Universal Spirit. This actually is the foundation of the ideology of the Free Masons, who recognize that the universe was created by the Great Architect. Another group within the Odinist movement can be described as Neo-Nazi. This groups also has a political agenda–which is basically National Socialism. But there is a middle ground that the Folk Faith occupies (not exclusively). We recognize that the old pagan religions were not some ancient universal religion, but that each pagan religion evolved with the evolution of a particular people or Folk. That each Folk or race has its own pagan tradition, and should seek the path that leads back to their old religion. We believe that just as the Gods of our ancestors walked upon the earth, and mixed with our ancestors, so too did the Gods of other Folks and races, mix with them and created them, imparting some of their Life Force into them.

Modern science recognizes the scientific theory of evolution, that humans evolved from lesser species, and so does the Folk Faith. But modern science no longer agrees entirely with Charles Darwin’s theory that one species gradually evolved into another species. There is no proof for this theory in neither the fossil records, nor in the genetic records. We now know that new species were born, not through natural selection, but through sudden mutations and that differences within species also came about through the same process. These changes were the result of the environment (the Gods) that they lived in. Thus, changes in the genetic composition of different groups of humans came about through these sudden mutations, which we belief was the result of the intervention of the different Gods among different groups of people. Thus Europeans became Europeans because one group of Gods mixed their Life Force with a particular group of humans. This is also true of the Semitic people of the Middle East, and the Asians, and the Africans, and American Aborigines and the Australian Aborigines and all people.

As pagans, we respect all Gods and religious traditions worshiped by other people. We do not claim, as the monotheistic religions do, that our religion is the "one true religion." But we do believe that each Folk must seek out the Gods of their ancestors, and work to reforge those bonds established long ago with their Gods. Many people have lost this spiritualism, and this includes most people who belong to the three monotheistic religions, but not all. The old Christian Churches were really paganized forms of Christianity, but have lost this pagan spirituality in the last one hundred years. Many Jewish people study a set of teachings that lie outside of their faith and have a tradition rooted in pre-Judaic spiritualism. I am referring to the Cabala. The teachings of the Cabala is basically the same as the Vril, but it is designed for those individuals who can trace their heritage to a Semitic origin. The same is true for the rich heritage of the American Aborigines. They still practice a folk religion, though in many ways they have lost some of their rich heritage due to the lost of their ancestral lands when North and South America were conquered and settled by Europeans and Africans. The Japanese still worship their ancestral religion in the religion of Shintoism. Even in Iran, there are many who still practice a mixed form of Zoroastrianism. We of the Folk Faith encourage all people to seek out the ancient pagan religious traditions of their ancestors and reforge those lost bonds with their Gods. They too can initiated a rebirth of their Gods through their traditional pagan roots.

The Folk Faith is a folk religion, but not a hate religion. We have no political agenda and want nothing to do with politics--left or right! We are a religion of love and joy. We love our Folk and the Gods who made us, and find joy and happiness in the adventure of living. We have no time to hate anyone.
